Nia Long Shares Makeup-Free Selfie as She Relaxes Post Holiday: ‘Sending You All Love’

Nia Long is enjoying a relaxing vacation at home.

The You People The 53-year-old actress wished her 4.7 million Instagram followers a “Merry Christmas” as she shared a happy and calm selfie.

In the photo she shared, she can be seen flashing a big smile while wearing a bare face as she lay on what appeared to be a couch. In the photo, she wore a comfortable white sweater, and her hair fell over her shoulders.

“Oh, Santa, baby… it was good, good. Sending you all love. Merry Christmas 😘”, she captioned the post.

Nia Long says her split from Ime Udoka was a ‘wake-up call’

The announcement comes more than a month after she opened up about her broken engagement to Ime Udoka in December 2022 while speaking with Jeezy to promote his new album I might forgive… but I don’t forget.

“I recently had a really public breakup,” Long said in a video posted on Jeezy’s YouTube. “It was a wake-up call for me in terms of, ‘Okay, you’re going to do this on your own and you’re going to be fine and you’re not going to worry about what anybody thinks and has to say.'”

During the interview, she added that her breakup with the former head coach of the Boston Celtics also affected her son Massai (22), whom she shares with actor Massai Z. Dorsey.

“I think my older son saw me trying to keep the family together. But I had to get to a place where self-love was greater and more important than saving anyone,” she explained.

Long and Udoka, who have a 12-year-old son named Kez, first met in February 2010 while Udoka was a player with the Sacramento Kings and then got engaged in 2015. They ended their 13-year relationship after it went public came the news about a professional basketball professional’s alleged affair with a female subordinate within the team’s organization.

Despite the long journey, Long told Jeezy, 46, that she thinks she’s “right where I need to be.”

“Which means some days I’m perfectly fine, and then other days I’m like, ‘Oh my God, this seems like a lot of work.’ And then, other days, it feels like women aren’t supposed to be this strong. I don’t want to be this strong sometimes,” she explained.

Earlier this year, she stated that it may also be a while before she gets to a place where she can even consider getting into a “serious relationship” again. Although she also noted that she isn’t ruling out romance or meaningful relationships entirely.

“I want to go out and have amazing, important, deep, thoughtful conversations. I want to travel. I want to laugh. I want to cook with my kids and listen to music. I want a glass of good wine. I want a good kiss goodnight. Everything else will have to turn out that way. I’m just trying to enjoy the moment,” she said.
