On Thursday, May 9, the Biebers announced that they were welcoming a toddler into their family, posting a video on their Instagrams from their vow renewal in Hawaii. While they were excited to share the news they were expecting, a source told PEOPLE that the couple wanted to keep the news a secret for as long as possible.
“When they found out Hailey was pregnant, it was just the best day for them. They were both very emotional about it,” says the source. “They feel so blessed. They also felt protective of the baby from the moment they found out.”

“They shared with family and close friends early on. It was important for them to keep it quiet and enjoy it for as long as possible before they confirmed publicly,” the source continues. “They asked their friends not to share until they were ready to publish.”
While Hailey missed the Met Gala on Monday, she attended Coachella 2024 with her husband, opting for a comfortable look.
The Biebers made a modest appearance in the crowd on April 12 and 13, dressed up to enjoy the Indio, California festival.

While enjoying Ice Spice’s set, Hailey opted for a “comfortable” pantsless look, wearing a baggy leather jacket that covered her stomach, a black undershirt, white socks with black boots and neon green glow-in-the-dark nails. When spotted on the main set of Lana Del Rey, the model wore a black zip-up hoodie with a black hair wrap and tortoiseshell sunglasses.
Although the two have been rumored to be having trouble in their marriage, a source told PEOPLE that those rumors are not true.
“There is no divorce and there is no truth to it,” an insider said in early April. “They are very, very happy,” adding that the couple is “doing very well.”
Hailey herself commented on the gossip, sharing a candid post on her Instagram Stories.
“Just FYI, the stories and constant ‘blind items’ I see on TikTok are 100% of the time wrong Made out of nothing… They come from the land of delusion… So I know it could be fun to feed into these stories but just know i’m always fake xx sorry to spoil.”
