Although it is easy enough to open the Kindle book, it is a little less intuitive that you can return to the home screen. In this article, we are moving in the way you can return to the starting screen on the Kindle e-reader (including Paperwhite, Scribe and Colorsoft), in the Kindle application on your phone or tablet, and at the Web Reader reader. We also cross a few FAQ -Kindle Home screen. Continue to read to find out more.
- Tap once in the top 1/4 of your Kindle screen.
- Tap the back arrow that says Home or Library.
- Tap Home button at the bottom of the screen.
-
Tap the upper 1/4 of the screen. If you touch the right place, the menu will expand at the top. If you don’t touch high enough, your Kindle will turn to the next page. If this happens, tap the left side of the screen to get back one page, then tap closer to the top of your Kindle screen.
- These steps will work on any modern Kindle e-reader, including Paperwhite and Scribe.
- Older e-readers Kindle can have a slightly different look.
Tap the back arrow in the top left corner of the screen. If you opened your book from the Home screen, the return button will say Home. If you opened your book from the library screen, the return button will say Library.
Tap Home button (if necessary). If the return button in step 2 said HomeYou can skip this step as you will already be on the home screen. If the return button in step 2 said LibrarySimply tap Home button at the bottom of the screen.[1]
- If you are in one of the Kindle menu and not in the book, you can go back to the starting screen by clicking on X Closing button from the menu.
Tap in the middle of the screen. When you use the Kindle app on your Android, iPhone or iPad, touching anywhere in the middle of the screen will zoom on the page, giving you additional options.
- If you touch the left or right -hand edge of the screen or accidentally swipe your finger instead of touch, you will just turn the page. Simply tap the opposite edge or pull the screen finger to get back to the page you were on.
Tap < button. In the upper left corner.
Tap Home button (if necessary). If you have opened your book from the initial screen, you will be returned to the home screen and you can skip this step. However, if you opened your book from the library screen, you will have to touch Home At the bottom of the screen to get back to the home screen.
- If you are u More Tab, tap Home Button at the bottom of the screen to move to the starting page.
- If you are in one of the menu on More Page, tap X button to exit the menu and then tap Home at the bottom of the page.
-
Wrap the mouse over the top or bottom of the screen. When you do this, a layer will appear over the book, which will give you more options.
Click Library. It is in the upper left corner of the screen. Unlike Kindle or Kindle apps on your phone or tablet, there is no starting screen to the Web Reader reader. If you are using Kindle on the Web, the library screen is effectively your home screen.
- This is because the initial screen on Kindle devices and/or Kindle app shows books at your library, and also proposes new books to buy at the Amazon E-Book Kindle market. You can easily go to Amazon.com on the web or click the basket button in the upper right corner to go to the Kindle store.
