The bags came out at full-time after Mario Lemina refused to shake Bowen’s hand.
This forced both the skippers to confront each other and engage in a fighting competition.
Bowen appeared to say, “Shake my hand” several times, before pushing Lemin away and grabbing him by the throat.
Lemina in turn grabbed Bowen’s shirt and brought the English winger to the grass.
Players from both sides ran in and chaos ensued on the pitch as West Ham celebrated an all-important win.
Bowen and Lemina were subsequently shown yellow cards by referee John Brooks after VAR checked for foul play.
Furious Lemina even pushed his own team-mate Toti Gomes and Wolves coaching staff member Shaun Derry.
Both tried to calm down the Wolves captain – as did West Ham star Jean-Clair Todibo.

Gary O’Neil said after the game: “Mario was angry with one of the West Ham players. His team-mates and Shaun tried to calm him down.
“The last thing we need is for him to get suspended. He’s important to us.”

Lema’s frustration comes after Wolves felt aggrieved by the TRI VAR decision.
O’Neil’s side had a penalty appeal from the ground officials and VAR after Emerson brought down Goncalo Guedes.
Explaining the decision, Premier League Match Center tweeted: “The referee’s call for no penalty for Emerson’s challenge on Guedes was reviewed and upheld by VAR, deeming the contact to have been outside the penalty area.”
Konstantinos Mavropanos appeared to foul Hugo Bueno in the build-up before Bowen put West Ham back in front.
And Jamie Carragher agreed, saying: “How is that not a foul?” before the home winner.
Wolves then won another penalty appeal after Mavropanos brought down Bellegarde.
The home fans were left fuming after they believed Tomas Soucek had headed in after West Ham were awarded an incorrect corner when the ball came off Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Mohammed Kudus also had two goals disallowed for offside.

Both Julen Lopetegui and O’Neil entered the match on the brink of dismissal.
After last week’s defeat at Everton, O’Neil spoke as if he would leave by morning, and now it seems inevitable after coming on the wrong side of ‘El Sackic’.
Wolves are 19th in Prem, winning just two of their 15 games this season.
Meanwhile, West Ham, who are 14th, have climbed one point behind Man Utd in the table.
The Hammers have shown their support for Michail Antonio following his car crash on Saturday, with Soucek and Bowen paying tribute to him with their goal celebrations.
Before the game, West Ham players warmed up in replicas of his shirt, while the crowd chanted his name at the start and after nine minutes of play.
Match-worn team shirts are also being auctioned to raise money for the NHS and Air Ambulances UK Charity.
Soucek later revealed that the West Ham players had a video call with Antonio before the game.
