Huw Edwards’ wife, Vicky Flind, has singled out the BBC presenter as the man involved in the controversial images. Huw was a newsreader at some of the most pivotal moments in recent times, including the announcement of the Queen’s death, as well as being at the center of the coronations of King Charles and Queen Camilla.
However, the presenter is currently embroiled in controversy after Vicky confirmed that the Welsh journalist is currently hospitalized for treatment for mental health issues.

Vicky and Huw have five children, all grown up. The couple have three sons, Dan, Sammy and Amos, and two daughters, Hannah and Rebecca.
Speaking to The Guardian about their kids, Huw said: “There’s a rule of thumb that your youngest child takes the beating much better than the older ones. All the worries, the inexperience and the lack of experience. Your understanding as a parent is all about your eldest child.
“By the time you have your youngest child, in my fifth case, you are a great parent. So if you can give your parents all the patience and knowledge they will yes with their second or third child or whatever with their first child, that’s the only advice I would do.”

He also spoke about the Welsh language spoken in the family, telling Wales Online: “Mostly English is the main language because my wife doesn’t speak Welsh.
“I was able to focus a lot of time with my two oldest children. They understand Welsh well but the others are less. My three sons are actually linguists and I have an aunt. girls are linguists Their ability to speak, pronounce and understand is pretty good, but what you won’t get is a fluent conversation… They often talk to my mother, who has become back to Llanelli and they know very well my father’s legacy and the fact that he is a major figure in Welsh cultural and linguistic and we are very proud of that.”

Her statement read: “In light of the recent coverage of ‘BBC Presenter’, I am making this statement on behalf of my husband, Huw Edwards, after 5 extremely difficult days for my family. I do this mainly out of concern for his mental health and the protection of our children.
“Huw suffers from serious mental health problems. As is well documented, he has been treated for major depression in recent years. Events of the past few days have made matters worse. much worse, he had another severe episode and is now admitted to hospital receiving care at the hospital where he will stay for the foreseeable future.
“When he is well enough to do so, he intends to respond to published stories. To be clear, Huw was first informed that there were allegations against him on Thursday of the week. in advance. Given Huw’s circumstances and condition, I would like to please respect the privacy of my family and others involved in these disturbing incidents. I know Huw is deeply sorry for being very many colleagues have been affected by recent media speculation. We hope this statement puts an end to it.”

Theft at Huw Edwards’ house
While the couple kept their personal lives private, Huw spoke out again in 2019 after their home was burglarized. Reassuring fans, he said, “Just for the record – after some misleading (shocking!) news. Yes, we had a burglary. No, I’m not chasing the thief. The police are handling it. It happened a month ago. We’re all fine.”
