I split £540k lottery jackpot with SEVENTEEN of my neighbours – we all look out for each other… it’s unbelievable

A MUM has told how she shared a staggering £540,000 jackpot with seventeen of her neighbors after her street won the postcode in the lottery.

Emma, from Darwen, Lancashire, was overwhelmed when she found out she was one of 18 lucky neighbors in Lancashire Street.

The stunning win, part of the Street Prize draw, meant every resident who entered with a winning postcode shared the total.

The mum-of-two said: “It’s amazing to win with our neighbours.

“But it’s not every day someone gives you £30,000.”

Emma’s £30,000 win comes after she and her husband Chris returned from their honeymoon in Greece, after tying the knot last month.

The couple now plan to use their share of the winnings to spruce up their end-terrace house.

Chris, a self-employed dry cleaner, said he would put the money towards landscaping the garden and driveway, and leave some aside for rainy days.

Despite having to split the big win, the neighbors are still thrilled to take home their share of the pie.

The entire street joined in the celebration, and the winners even stopped traffic as they turned the street into a party zone.

Emma added: “It’s a really good neighborhood and everyone looks out for each other, so it’s amazing to share this win.”

Meanwhile, other winners on the street had their own ideas on how to spend their windfall.

Mark, a surface repair technician with a love for toy tattoos, plans to add Sonic the Hedgehog to his collection to please his two-year-old son.

He’s even considering incorporating the postcode lottery logo into the design.

Mark said: “This is amazing. It’s all I’ve been thinking about

“I like game tattoos. I might get Sonic this time. My little boy loves it. I might get a lottery logo on the top of my head. I’ll tell the tattoo artist what I want and he’ll do a good job.”

Bubbly Denise, another lucky winner, revealed that her grandson has simple requests – he just wants her to spend her new fortune on a bottle of Prime WWE juice.

But Denise has bigger plans, hoping to take her family on vacation to Florida.

Stunned Julie and her husband Carl also won £30,000 each and are already planning to extend their home to make room for their seven grandchildren and three dogs.

Julie said: “We got an extension but we still need more rooms.

“We’ll probably go up.”

Despite the joint gain, the mood of the neighbors did not deteriorate.

Everyone embraced the moment, and Denise snuggled up to Emma and Chris, celebrating their happiness together.

Meanwhile, a Cambridge mum has revealed she was unable to claim her entire £1million lottery jackpot because of a “pact” made 30 years ago.

It comes as another couple boasted of winning a whopping £182million on the EuroMillions.

But the excitement was short-lived after they were “disqualified” for a devastating reason.

National Postcode Lottery: How to Play

To take part you must subscribe to the People’s Postcode Lottery for £12 a month.

You will then automatically be entered into all draws with the selected zip code.

If your zip code has been drawn and you have the correct ticket, you will get one.

A third of the winnings automatically go to charity, and the organization says this has led to £1.3bn raised so far.
