WHEN Lea Collins told her partner she wasn’t in the mood for sex, she expected him to roll over and go to sleep.
But evil Harvey Blyth (21) had other ideas.

Despite Lea telling him “no” four times, he forced himself on the 22-year-old and raped her.
After that, when Lea refused to see Blyth again, he sent her a Snapchat video of them having sex that he had secretly recorded weeks earlier.
Brave Lea, from Swansea, informed the police and the trial revealed that Blyth had videos of sexually abusing boys aged between 10 and 14.
His dark search history also revealed that he searched for sinister phrases including “is rape okay”, “pedo rapes children” and “naked five year old”.

In March this year, Blyth was sentenced to seven years in prison with an additional three to be served on license for stalking, raping and revealing a private video against Lee.
Now Lea is giving up her anonymity to encourage other abuse victims to speak out and report their attackers.
She says: “What Harvey did was sickening. He didn’t care that I didn’t agree to have sex that night.
“When I discovered that he was a pedophile, but also a rapist, my skin crawled from him. He should never be released.”

Lea met Blyth in February 2022 while working as a barmaid in a pub.
She recalls: “Harvey was out drinking with friends and we were flirting and laughing, so I put my number on his account.
“The next day he texted and we went on a date.”
The couple reconciled and started seeing each other, although Lea made it clear that she wasn’t looking for anything serious.
Later that week they went to a house party at Lea’s friend’s house and slept together.
The next day they went out for drinks and ended up back at Lea’s house in the early hours.
Lea says: “I was tired, so I went to bed.
“Harvey laid down in bed and started kissing me and groping my body, and I told him ‘I’m not in the mood, I’m too tired.’
“But he kept trying to initiate sex. Satisfied, I turned on my side.”

Suddenly Blyth grabbed Lea by the shoulder and flipped her onto her back before climbing on top of her.
Lea recalls: “He dismounted me and spread my legs. I must have told him ‘no’ at least four times, but it didn’t matter.
“He forced himself into me. I was horrified. I fought him until I managed to kick him off the bed.
“He was angry and called me ***.”

The next morning Lea told him to leave.
Two days later, after ignoring his messages, Lea received a Snapchat video from him of them having consensual sex earlier that week.
“I had no idea he had filmed me,” she says. “I was horrified and called the police.”
Blyth was arrested but denied the charges and was released on bail.
Meanwhile, Lea’s work colleagues saw the sex tape.

She says: “I was humiliated. I had a pink streak in my hair, so there was no denying that it was me.”
Two months later, while awaiting trial, Blyth bombarded Lea with vile messages on Facebook.
He told her, “Don’t worry, I deleted the video out of shame because I fucked a fat retard,” and ended the second with “die fat.”
Lea felt compelled to move out of the area and quit her job.
Eventually, Blyth pleaded guilty to revealing the private video and stalking, but was later convicted at trial of raping Lee.
At sentencing, Lea revealed that when police seized his phone, they discovered videos of him sexually abusing boys between the ages of 10 and 14.

Lea says: “I almost threw up when I found out he was a pedophile.” He is really sick in the head.”
Blyth was convicted of making – that is possessing – category A indecent images, possessing extreme pornography and racially abusing a police officer.
He was also convicted of rape after pleading guilty to stalking and revealing a private video against Lee.
A judge granted Blyth a 10-year extended license at Swansea Crown Court.
Lea says: “I am relieved that he is now behind bars. He is a monster and I want women to know his face and avoid him like the plague.”

How you can get help
Women’s Aid has the following advice for victims and their families:
- Always keep your phone nearby.
- Get in touch with charities for help, including the Women’s Aid live chat helpline and services such as SupportLine.

- Learn about the silent solution, by reporting abuse without speaking into the handset, instead of dialing “55”.
- Always have some cash with you, including change for a payphone or bus ticket.
- If you suspect that your partner is about to attack you, try to go to a less risky part of the house – for example, where there is an exit and access to a telephone.
- Avoid the kitchen and garage, where knives or other weapons are likely to be found. Avoid rooms where you could become trapped, such as a bathroom or where you could be locked in a closet or other small space.
