I was Playboy model & used to live at Hugh Hefner’s mansion… now it’s a tent near Reading – but I refuse to do OnlyFans

SHE once lived high up in Hugh Hefner’s Hollywood mansion – but Britain’s top Playboy bunny now sleeps in a modest tent for two on a farm.

Stunner Louise Glover, 41, says the cost of living crisis has left her with no choice as she can’t afford “impossible” rent rises.

The pin-up, who has modeled for Nike and Reebok, has been camping out for more than a month in her £60 temporary home as she struggles to build her personal training and dog walking business.

She said: “I’m trying to stay positive and make the most of my situation, but it’s hard.

“I have to get out of this pickle quickly. Things have to change before winter sets in.

Glamor model Louise paid £550 a month for a room in a shared property near Windsor, Berks.

But her rent has jumped to £750 and her business has been quiet, leaving her struggling to make ends meet.

Now Louise – who earned £1,000 a day at the height of her 20-year modeling career – calls her £130 camper home.

At a site near Reading, she frys eggs on a small gas stove, which she also uses to cook a kettle for a soothing hot chocolate before laying down in a sleeping bag on a double air mattress.

She said: “I have two hot water bottles to sleep at night.

“I make sure I’m in the camp to be safe, and I have my own car.

“My luck is about to change.”

The Noughties pop star barely aged 22 after stripping off for Playboy

It’s a far cry from her days of dating Paris Hilton and Leonardo DiCaprio while living in the late Hefner’s sprawling estate.

After landing her first gig with Playboy following a test shoot in London at the age of 20, she became the first British woman to be named the magazine’s model of the year.

Described by multi-millionaire Hugh as “Britain’s Carmen Electra”, Louise spent her twenties jetting around the world attending celebrity parties and posing for photographs.

She would return to her base at Playboy boss Hefner’s mansion, where she had a rent-free room with champagne on tap.

During the world-famous parties at the infamous £77million centre, Louise mingled with celebrities such as DiCaprio, Rihanna, Matthew Perry, Snoop Dogg and Paris.

She said: “It was the best time, like another world.

“I didn’t even think about it that much at the time, but I was hanging out with the biggest names in the world.

I really liked Hugh, he was a total gentleman

“I loved all the other Playboy models, we were like family.

“I really liked Hugh, he was a total gentleman.

“The villa was amazing, there was even a zoo there. Everything was pink and had the Playboy bunny logo on it.

“We had wild parties. One time I was taking a picture and we were all dancing around Snoop Dogg while he was performing on stage in the house.”

But when she was 27, Louise developed septicemia after breast implant surgery and went into cardiac arrest. She stayed in the hospital for five weeks.

She said: “I almost died because I was so sick with the infection. It was a wake-up call for me.

She decided to step away from her party lifestyle to focus on fitness and wellness. Louise recalled: “I started training and went into fitness and lifestyle modeling. I had deals with most of the big brands.

“Nike sponsored me and I felt like I was on the rise again.”

She won first place at the Miami Pro Universe Championships and won a number of other fitness titles.

After becoming a personal trainer, she traveled to Dubai last year to launch her fitness classes and do promotional work for Formula 1 and rugby.

But it struggled to gain a solid client base.

Louise said: “The whole place closed down around Christmas and I couldn’t get a job. I had to go back to the UK.”

Louise now spends her nights trying to keep warm as autumn approaches. But she says she’d rather be in a poor house than undress on the internet.

She explained: “It’s hard for me now that I’m older, there’s no modeling work. I would love to do presenting and I still do some promotional work, but I refuse to do anything pornographic.

“I have too much self-respect to go undressing as some have suggested. People ask me: ‘Why don’t you record Only Fans?’

“But I’d rather get my life together and live here, in this field. I don’t need to stoop to that. I have morals and self-respect.”

At the height of her modeling career, Louise used her large salaries to travel the world.

But due to some bad luck she has no savings to fall back on. She said: “I’ve been in relationships where men took money from me.

“I had a few clients with my personal training company, but that dried up over the summer.

“I look after dogs too – but people don’t go as much because they don’t have money.”

She added: “It’s not all bad. There were some really special moments. Last night I sat and watched the shooting stars, wrapped in my sleeping bag.

“And a giant red dragon flew in and sliced into one of my balls, which was pretty amazing.”

Louise asked the homeless shelter for help but was told she would not be a priority.

The model, who has appeared in videos with pop band Scouting For Girls and once dated Lee Ryan of boy band Blue, said: “I want to try and get my job back because I’m very independent.

“Surviving and being independent is what I’ve always done.

“They said that unless I had a child or was sick, I had the same needs as anyone else on the street.

“I don’t want to start asking for benefits at this point.

I don’t like to rely on people so I don’t want to couch surf at my friends’ houses. It’s not me

Louise

“So they said I’m not going to get help, basically. I tried sleeping in the car in the parking lot, but you never know who’s stalking you.

“That’s when I got the idea to get a tent. The weather was much better a few weeks ago though.”

Louise, who grew up in and out of foster care, lost both parents within five months of each other seven years ago. She added: “I have no family to rely on.

“I don’t like to rely on people so I don’t want to couch surf at my friends’ houses. It’s not me.”

Looking out at the gathering clouds from her tiny tent, Louise says with a sigh that she is “starting from scratch” again.

But she tries to see the positives, as long as time lasts.

She said: “In a way, I feel calmer now that I’m here — because I have less to worry about. But then I probably really am, because if there’s a storm, I’m stuck!”
