I’m sorry, iCarly fans, it looks like there won’t be another webshow livestream to watch.
Paramount+ has canceled the 2021 reboot of the beloved Nickelodeon series of the same name after three seasons, PEOPLE can confirm.
“iCarly will not return for a fourth season on Paramount+,” a spokesperson for the network said in a statement to PEOPLE. “The show has had a great three seasons and delivered what fans really wanted to see with Carly and Freddie finally getting together. We want to thank the entire cast, writers, directors and producers along with the entire crew for their dedication, creativity and talent.”
The revival series followed Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove) as she rebooted her popular comedy web show iCarly which catapulted her to internet fame in the original series, which ran for six seasons from 2007 to 2012.

News of the show’s cancellation comes after Mosley, 32, responded to a fan post on X (formerly known as Twitter) about whether iCarly will be renewed for a fourth season: “It’s cancelled, dear.”
She continued separate post, “It’s not a joke. The best people I’ve ever worked with in business. Thanks for joining the reboot. Everyone put their deeply kind talented soul into this.”
The Season 3 finale that aired at the end of July ended with a major scandal that teased the introduction of Carly and Spencer’s mother, whose absence from the original series was never explained.
Earlier in the episode, Carly mentioned her mom Spencer after learning about Freddy’s plan to propose to her. “Maybe the idea of marriage is so out of my head because what if I do to Freddie what mom did to us?” she wondered.

Now, several fans online are voicing their concern over the show’s cancellation because they’ll never know why Carly and Spencer’s mom weren’t in the picture.
“iCarly the reboot has been canceled which means we’ll never find out who Carly and Spencer’s mom is…,” one user wrote on X.
Another one chimed in“icarly it really was canceled after THAT cliffhanger. They really made us wait for years for Carly and Spencer to finally mention their mom and we never even get to see her and we’ll never have that creddie marriage SO IT’S DONE 😭”
As a result, fans are urging them to do so express your disappointment so that Paramount+ reverses its decision to answer their long burning question.
“where is the petition to get icarly and s4 I’m so serious,” viewer wrote on X.
“Can I give at least one more final season icarly so we can see carlyna and spencer’s mom?” a another user echoed.
One fan suggested the following alternative: “Give us at least icarly a movie that gives this universe a real ending @paramountplus.”
