Iconic 80s band with seven Top 10 singles forced to flog tickets for just £10 each as popularity wanes

ORCHESTRAL Maneuvers in the Dark have been going on for 46 years, but they don’t seem to be as popular as they once were – forced to chase cheap tickets.

The English electronic band, fronted by Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys, will perform at London’s O2 Arena on Sunday and face a mad dash to get people there.

They hired a seating service to make sure there were enough people in the room.

Officially, tickets are on sale for over £60.

Although they have quietly announced the show on the ShowFilmFirst website, with tickets priced at just £10.

Over the course of their career, OMD have had seven Top Ten singles, including Enola Gay and Maid Of Orleans, and reached No. 2 in November with their latest album, Bauhaus Staircase.

After OMD, Andy remained in the pop world, forming Atomic Kitten with Kerry Katona, Natasha Hamilton and Liz McClarnon.

Back in 2019, Andy appeared on ITV’s Lorraine and said he wanted to apologize to Kerry because he “had no idea what I got the girls into”.

He said: “I knew she was going to be famous because she just had this Marilyn Monroe syndrome and didn’t know how beautiful she was.

“But I didn’t realize what I had done to her, so I took the opportunity to apologize.”
