I’m A Celebrity’s first evicted campmate revealed as Ant and Dec send home star

SUN columnist Jane Moore was the first star to be booted from I’m A Celebrity tonight.

The Loose Women panelist, 62, survived 14 days in the I’m A Celebrity jungle before going down in the public vote.

Jane reunited with her daughters Ellie, 32, and Grace, 20, after saying goodbye to the other 11 celebrities.

During her time on the show, she stuck with whatever challenge she was faced with from the beginning.

In the opening episode, Jane drank a dark cocktail of a mixture of bull penis and fish eyes – then jumped out of a helicopter from 10,000 feet in a terrifying parachute jump and went off course.

She quickly earned the nickname Jungle Jane at camp after starting a fire.

And she was visibly depressed every time she missed out on the Bushtucker Trial as radio DJ Dean McCullough, 32, performed six in a row.

But Jane finally got her wish when the public nominated her and former Hunt Islander Maura Higgins, 34, to take on Fear at the End of the Tunnel.

Jane scored six stars out of 12 for the camp meal after swimming alongside water dragons, mud crabs and eels.

She struck up friendships with fellow campers, including fellow Loose Women panelist GK Barry, 25.

In one show, Jane jokingly accused McFly star Danny Jones, 38, and boxing legend Barry McGuigan, 63, of being “sexist and aboriginal” after being tasked with washing dishes.

She had already been on duty cleaning the dunjaluk for nine days when she was given the task, which she made it clear she hated.

After camp leader Barry told Jane and singer Tulisa Contostavlos that they were on laundry duty, Jane snapped: “Is it because we’re women?”

She was upset that she was given the one task she desperately didn’t want to do.

Jane said, “I emptied the dunny, kept the fire going by myself for nine days, and you gave me the only job I don’t want.”

Before entering the jungle, Jane told The Sun that she signed up because “our time on this planet is short”, adding that she wanted to “make the most of the active years I have left”.

Her daughter Ellie, a strategist, told us that going to the jungle was “a real testament to a new life for mum”.
