I’m a Shopping Editor, and My Latest Obsession Is This Under-the-Radar Amazon Spot for Affordable Home Goods

I was the shopping editor for more than a decade, a period in which Amazon began to take up more and more of the shopping space, and thus my job. For better or worse, it’s made me quite talented at navigating the Amazon and discovering its hidden gems—things I wholeheartedly recommend.

My current fascination is the Internet Famous shop, which seems to house all the viral products in one place. This is great because if you don’t follow CleanTok or YardTok or FashionTok, you can just go to Amazon and find all the hidden gems collected in one place. Although it’s not easy to navigate, that’s where I perform.

Candle lamps came onto my radar last March when I was editing a story about one that had gone viral on TikTok. I don’t know why I haven’t bought one yet — they’re great because they extend the life of your fancy scented candles indefinitely.

The heat from the lamp warms the wax of your scented candle so that the aroma is released without shrinking the wax (like lighting a wick). After it cools again, all the wax remains intact and you can repeat the process. So when you splurge on your favorite candle, you can enjoy it for much longer than if you lit it the traditional way!
