Imam-ul-Haq is a Pakistani cricketer. He was the nephew of Inzamam al-Haq. He scored a hundred on his ODI debut. He is one of the cricketers to score hundreds in both innings of Test matches.

Imam Haq was born on Tuesday, December 12, 1995, in Multan, Pakistan (27 years old; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He studied in Beaconhouse School System, Multan. According to Imam Haq, he was very studious in school and never aspired to be an athlete; however, his school had a good sports culture and he started playing cricket. School coach Saud Khan noticed his talent and told him he could play for Pakistan. Imam-ul-Haq used to watch his uncle Inzamam-ul-Haq play, which sparked his interest in the sport. After completing his education in Multan, he moved to Lahore for higher education. He completed I.Com (Intermediate in Commerce) course from Punjab College, Lahore.

He has played for Pakistan U-19 team, Pakistan U-23 team, Balochistan team, Habib Bank Limited, Lahore District Blues and Peshawar Zalmi of Pakistan Super League. Injuried

In 2018, he suffered an injury during a Test match against Australia. He suffered a broken finger and had to undergo surgery in Dubai. A spokesman for the Pakistan Cricket Board told the media,
“Imam suffered a fracture on his left ring finger during the match and has been ruled out of the second Test in Abu Dhabi on October 16”

Injured against England
In 2019, he was playing against England when a ball from pacer Mark Wood hit him on the left elbow. The ball reached a speed of 143 km/h and he collapsed to the ground and was taken to hospital for X-rays. Tests did not reveal any serious damage, just swelling. He resumed batting later in the innings. The Pakistan Cricket Board announced an update on his injury on Twitter.

Injuries in National T20 Cup
While playing in the 2021 National T20 Cup, while playing for Balochistan against South Punjab, he collided with the boundary board while defending. He received treatment from the team’s physical therapist and had to be taken off the field on a stretcher. He subsequently underwent X-rays at the hospital and did not suffer any serious injuries.

Nepotism (Parchi)
In 2017, he was selected for the Pakistan national team for the series against Sri Lanka. Many cricket fans accused his uncle Inzamam-ul-Haq of nepotism and called the Imam a product of nepotism, with many fans calling him the derogatory term “Parchi” for the team. He played well and scored 100 points in his debut, showing his ability. Inzamam said he was contacted by coach Grant Flower and head coach Mickey Arthur about selecting him for the team. Inzamam said in an interview,
“When he was first called up for the international team, not many people knew it and it was Grant Flower who first came to me and said he had been watching Imam score runs in domestic cricket. Then, Lord Coach Mitch Arthur brought his case to the selection committee. He was very important to me and his selection to each other. But I want to remind those who have been questioning this that when I no longer served in 2012 He was selected for the Pakistan Under-19 team when he was not in any position with the PCB. In 2014, he was appointed vice-captain for the Under-19 World Cup, which paved the way for him to move towards international cricket.”
The accusations demoralized the Imam, who stopped talking to family and friends and instead confined himself to his room. In an interview, he addressed the allegations and said:
“When this all started happening, I was eating alone. It was my first tour and you know how first tours go. Every time I turned on my phone, there were people tagging them on social media posts me or send me stuff. I was frustrated and couldn’t understand anything. I stopped talking to my family because I didn’t want them to suffer any stress from the problems I was facing. I turned off my phone and handed over both phones Gave it to my manager and said: ‘I can’t take this away, please take them off me.’ I remember crying in the shower for hours and I hadn’t even played. It’s easy for young players to fall into that I was in a state of self-doubt. The only thing that kept thinking in my mind was that I hadn’t played yet. What if I didn’t perform well?
