Jennifer Lopez is thriving, and husband Ben Affleck couldn’t be more proud.
Ahead of the February 16 release of Lopez’s ninth album, the 54-year-old superstar is enjoying married life. A source tells PEOPLE that the singer also enjoys her creative freedom.
“It was the perfect time to focus on the new album. She loved making new music. She’s very excited [about] that,” a source tells PEOPLE.
The source added: “Ben is proud of her. He is her biggest fan. He likes how hardworking and focused she is.”

The holidays gave the couple, who renewed their relationship in 2021 and married in July 2022, an opportunity for quality family time. The source says they had a great Christmas together and their family has blended in smoothly.
“And their family life is great,” they tell PEOPLE. “All the children are friends. They get along very well.”

In early January, Lopez dropped her single “Can’t Get Enough,” along with a music video for it This is me… now record. She said on YouTube Live that she loves the song for its upbeat vibe and nod to Affleck, 51.
“So when we first heard this song, everyone just knew it was the one to launch This is me… now“, added the star. “There is energy, there is happiness and you feel it all.”

When the singer needed visual advice, Lopez said she went to Gone Girl star.
“It’s not like he’s ever made videos or anything, but I just trust his opinion and his ideas,” she explained. “No one knows my story or me more than him. I really feel like he gets me and understands me, obviously.”
“You’ve all been following my journey and I think you’ve seen me,” Lopez told fans during a live stream on YouTube. “What I wanted to tell everyone with the album… is that true love actually exists.”
