Casandra “Cassie” Ventura is undeterred as she tries to live her best life amid the constant backlash and legal drama from ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs.
As Combs, 54, faces the fallout from recently released hotel surveillance footage of him pushing and kicking Cassie in 2016 — actions that match the allegations she made in a now-settled lawsuit against Combs last November — the “Me & U” focuses on family.
After splitting from Combs in 2018 after six years of dating, Cassie, 37, found the love of her life, husband, personal trainer Alex Fine. The couple got married in August 2019 in an intimate ceremony in Malibu, and shortly after they had two daughters, Frankie (4) and Sunny (3), and their dog French Fry.

Since then, the “Long Way 2 Go” singer has taken to social media to document her and Alex’s romance as well as their life as a family of four, which — from impromptu dance parties to pop-culture couple costumes — is full of ” non-stop laughter and so much love.”
In March, a few months after settling her lawsuit, Cassie shared a post celebrating Fine’s 31st birthday, writing that “there is literally nothing better than spending this life with my 3 best friends” — echoing the personal trainer’s statement for 30 . birthday that he “couldn’t imagine having a better life than mine.”
“I have to pinch myself every day,” she added. “I love you with all my heart, to the moon and back forever 🫶🏽 Happy birthday, Alex! You have my heart forever.”

A few months earlier, in August 2023, she celebrated a different milestone — the couple’s fourth wedding anniversary — with another sweet tribute to a personal trainer.
“I was a day late, but I had to make sure I showed this man ALL MY LOVE! My husband! Happy 4th anniversary to my best friend,” the musician wrote. “There is no one like you in this world. You have the biggest heart and the funniest sense of humor, your curiosity about life still surprises me and warms my heart every day. I’m falling more and more and more and more in love with you as time goes by and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
“Most importantly,” she continued, “you’re the only person who can actually make me laugh until I pee my pants—that’s saying a lot. Thank you for loving me the way you do. I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!”
Cassie also frequently praises Fine’s parenting on social media and shares insights into his girlfriend-dad duties — which include everything from princess dress-ups and Spice Girls dance parties to ice-skating lessons and tropical family vacations.

On his birthday in 2022, the singer said: “There is literally nothing better than seeing you play, paint your nails, build nascar tracks, dance, wear Frankie’s Queen 👑 when he says – “Dada, 👉🏼 queen”, read, teach, love and take care of our babies the way you do.”
“Being able to wake up with you every morning and watch you become the MOST amazing father has been one of my greatest joys in life,” she wrote at the time, adding, “There is literally no one else in the world I’d rather sail through this crazy life with .”
Fine also returned the praise, writing on Mother’s Day 2024 that the singer is “the best mom to our two little babies and French fries.”
Late last week, Fine came to his wife’s defense following the leak of hotel surveillance footage from 2016, writing: “Men who beat women are not men. Men who enable it and protect those people are not men. As men, violence against women should not be unavoidable, check on your brothers, your friends and your family. Our daughters, sisters, mothers and wives need to feel protected and loved.”
He continued: “To all survivors, find men and women who help and love. To all survivors, your stories are real and people believe you. To all survivors you are not alone, there are men and women out there who only care about your well being and safety. We want you to succeed and progress. To all women and children, I am sorry that you live in a world where you are not protected and do not feel equal. I want to raise my daughters in a world where they are safe and loved.”
