THE final minutes on a tragic Bayesian were revealed as data from the ship’s black box was analyzed by officers investigating the disaster.
Data extracted from the Bayesian Automatic Identification System (AIS) reveals exactly how it sank in a painful 16-minute timeline.

Today, divers recovered the body of the last missing passenger – British teenager Hannah Lynch – daughter of tycoon Mike Lynch, who was recovered from the wreckage on Thursday.
The AIS tracking system sends information from the vessel to shore stations, alerting officials of movement and distress.
As part of an investigation into how a 184-foot luxury yacht capsized and sank to the bottom of the sea, killing seven people, officers are analyzing the data.
It revealed that at 3.50am on Monday the Bayesian began shaking “dangerously” during a violent storm, Italian newspaper Corriere reported.

Just minutes later, at 3.59am, the ship’s anchor gave way, and the source said data showed there was “no more anchor to hold”.
After the storm ripped out the ship’s mooring, it was dragged through the water for about 358 meters.
By 4 a.m., he began taking on water and blacked out, indicating that the waves had reached his generator or even the engine room.
At 4.05am Bayesian had completely disappeared under the waves.
An emergency GPS signal was finally sent at 4.06am to the coast guard station in Bari, a nearby town, alerting them that the ship had sunk.

Survivors and witnesses from a small nearby boat — along with official reports — initially helped piece together an account of how the disaster unfolded Monday morning.
People reported seeing a “tornado” — later clarified as a swirling cloud of air known as a waterspout — hit the 246-foot-tall mast.
Officials confirmed this is what capsized the ship, causing it to capsize and absorb water before sinking to the bottom of the sea.
Initial reports suggest the disaster occurred at around 5am local time off the coast of the port of Porticello in Palermo, Sicily.
New data pulled from the ship’s AIS appears to suggest it happened an hour earlier, around 4am.
About 15 of the 22 on board were rescued, 11 of whom climbed onto a life raft that had sprung up on deck.
A smaller nearby boat – named the Sir Robert Baden Powell – then helped take these men to shore.
More details of the disaster emerged yesterday when emergency workers revealed how passengers had tried to escape the water as it surged onto the ship.
Divers said guests pulled from the wreckage fled their cabins on the starboard – or starboard – side of the ship and tried to “climb” to safety by heading to the port – port side – where they were found.
A source working in the investigation told Italian newspaper Corriere: “We found them all on that side.
“We had maps with cabin layouts and guest positions, but we didn’t find them there.”
Officials also found that the keel – a fin-like stabilizing backbone under a ship that is usually lowered for balance in deep water – was raised before it sank.
Giovanni Costantino, CEO of Italian Sea Group, which owns Bayes’ Perini Navi shipyard, blamed human error for the tragedy.
He told The Sun: “Modern sailing ships, especially high-tech ones like the Perini, are designed to be extremely safe and stable.
“Even in very critical conditions, if procedures are followed, a glider like the Bayesian will return to an upright position.
“However, if the ship enters the water, that stability is threatened.
“Where the water got in, the investigators will determine.
What is certain is that the ship took on hundreds of thousands of liters of water.
Mr. Constantino also disputed claims that the tornado was not predicted and was a shock, saying it was “widely predicted.”
Referring to AIS data obtained by prosecutors and made available to Perini, he told the Financial Times: “The torture lasted 16 minutes.
“It fell, not in one minute as some scientists said. It fell in 16 minutes.
“You can see it from the chart, from the AIS [Automatic Identification System] tracking chart.
“The captain should have prepared the ship and put it in a state of readiness and safety, just like the ship [the Sir Robert Baden Powell] anchored 350 meters, which was built in 1957 and carried [weather] event brilliantly.”
