International Yoga Day 2023 in pictures: How India and the World celebrate the 9th Yoga Day

International Yoga Day 2023: Today the world marks 9 years of International Yoga Day. In 2014, the United Nations recognized June 21 as the International Day of Yoga. While the global celebration of IDY 2023 will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA, the national celebration of IDY 2023 will be led by Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar chaired at Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh.

Even while in another part of the world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the national celebration of International Yoga Day 2023 via a video message. Some of the key points of his address are:

  • “Yoga creates a healthy and strong society in which the collective energy is much greater”
