She started her career as a production trainee at Equinox Films Pvt Ltd in January 2017, where she worked for 3 months. The comments section of her photo has since been flooded with hateful comments shaming Ella for wearing a bikini in front of her father.

- Ira Khan’s father was an actor and she didn’t want to follow in his footsteps when it came to career choices. In an interview, she revealed that she was never inclined towards acting. she says,
I’ve always felt more comfortable and enthusiastic about working offstage or behind the camera than [being] in front of it. I never had a desire to act outside of action movies, so I started learning all the cool stunts. Then again…I could learn how to do stunts without movies. “
- At the age of six, she was diagnosed with tuberculosis.
- In a video posted on her Instagram account, she revealed that she was sexually harassed when she was 14 years old. She did not identify the person and said it took her about a year to realize she had been sexually harassed. She asked her parents for help.
- Ella is outspoken about mental health awareness and has openly shared her battle with depression in multiple interviews. In 2023, she delved into the factors that contributed to her depression, citing her parents’ divorce as a significant trigger. She said in an interview that Aamir Khan and Raina Dutta’s divorce had seriously affected her mental state. While she didn’t blame them for her condition, she said their casual attitude toward the divorce led her to believe it was “no big deal.” This realization in turn led her to suppress her true feelings and not discuss the matter with anyone, causing her to face depression.
