Isabella Strahan was very open during her journey, fighting Medalloblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. Now, together with her family, she offers an even closer look at the health challenges she faced after the 2023 diagnosis.
February 5th, 20-year-old daughter Michael dreaded will be presented in ABC Special: Life Interrupted: The Fighting of Isabella Strahan Against Canceor. In an emotional trailer for a special, Isabella is thinking about her cancer diagnosis and as she tried to keep a positive way of thinking despite her pain.
“You don’t really mean the worst one until you tell you the worst.” He says before she broke in tears.
On October 28, 2023, her 19th birthday, Isabella was subjected to an emergency surgery to remove the brain tumor the size of a golf ball. The parents of the USC student Michael Strahan and Jean Muggli remember how much shocking diagnosis was for the family.
“The first thing that went through my mind was,” This must be a mistake. “It didn’t seem real,” Good morning America Co-Sidro, 53, he says.
“As a parent, you are just afraid,” Michael continues. “She told me at one point,” I’ll do everything I have to do because I don’t want to die. “And I was like, wow.”

“It was just the worst moment a parent could expect,” Muggli adds in the examination.
Isabella-Koja is now without cancer-it is made with multiple circles of radiation, strenuous chemotherapy and several surgery. Her twin sister Sophia says she was in shock and it was difficult to treat what her sister went through.
Sophia says she and Isabella are “inseparable” and vowed to be near her throughout the battle for cancer.
“They take care of each other,” Michael notes. “That love and that support really helped her to ride.”
“Personally, I look at things a lot different. The understanding of life is short and could change that way,” he says, cracing his fingers.
Both Michael and Muggi praised how many their daughter arrived and how proud they were.

The trailer also gives a view of the emotional moment that Isabella connects with a colleague of a patient with cancer, Sean Isaac. The two tears hugged themselves, while Isaac shares how much the model made a difference in her life.
Sophia admits that in fear of the influence of Isabella, she shared her story in real time through a series of YouTube VLOGS.
“It really impressed me that she could share her story in a really powerful way,” she says about her sister.
“It was very difficult, but I know I will pass it,” Isabella says at the end of the trailer. “It’s really great to just feel free.”
