Isabella Strahan Jokes That Her Brain Is 'Expensive' amid Tumor Treatment

Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella Strahan has no problem making light jokes about her health journey since being diagnosed with a brain tumor.

On May 30, the 19-year-old model posted a video on TikTok using the popular audio from Salma Hayek’s April 2023 Time 100 Gala interview.

“What is the most expensive thing you wear? Probably my brain,” the voice said as Isabella added a teary-eyed photo of herself in the hospital after surgery with her head wrapped in bandages.

“This photo gets me every time,” she captioned the post, teasing in the comments, “Obviously I love being the most expensive kid.”

Several fans in the comments told Isabella that she “won” the popular trend and wished her well as she continues her brain tumor treatment.

Isabella Strahan gives ‘loopy’ chemotherapy update after short-term memory loss: ‘I can’t remember a single thing’

In April, Isabella shared on her YouTube series that she had her third craniotomy, just a month after her second. She admitted that it was difficult to control the pain.

“It’s not as bad as the first time, but it really hurts. They give me pain meds… they don’t work that well for me. So it hurts a lot,” she said before bursting into tears. “I have a really bad headache right now. I won’t lie, I cried a lot. It hurts me a lot. It’s not as bad as last time…my face isn’t swollen but it literally hurts to do anything.”

Isabella added that she can barely move without pain because she has two IVs, a picc line and a chemotherapy port, all of which allow doctors to give her medication.

“I haven’t eaten much in the last three or four days, almost nothing. It’s really bad, but I just can’t really eat and I’m not even hungry,” she continued. “This has its ups and downs because a week ago I ate a lot and now I can’t eat anything. I’m in a slump right now.”

In addition to three brain surgeries, Isabella underwent radiation and three chemotherapy treatments. She has one more round of chemotherapy left and shared her excitement to finish her treatment in another vlog last week.

“I just want it to be June already,” she said. “That’s the thing, I’m just waiting for the next time I get chemo and I’m a little scared about how I’ll get back to normal when I’m done. Because I feel like there will always be another treatment or something I have to do. But that’s a later problem.”

“Otherwise I’m fine,” she added.
