Ish Amitoj Kaur is an Indian children’s author and filmmaker. She is known for the films Chevan Daria (The Sixth River) (2010) and Kambudi Karai (2006). She is known for her original drama therapy methods, which she developed while leading children’s drama workshops.

She is the CEO of Theater Factory, a non-profit organization dedicated to the performing arts. In 2015, Theater Factory produced two of its own original plays, The Ugly Bump and Betty and Her Feast. “The Ugly Bump” tackles the issue of bullying, and “Betty and Her Feast” tackles the issue of children’s overuse of technology.

Later, Ish Amitoj opened her own production company, Noor Nissan Productions, and she became the first woman to write, direct and produce a Punjabi feature film, making history for her directing films for the Sikh diaspora.
