ITV shared a statement following Eamonn Holmes’ latest comments on GB News, where he stated that Phillip Schofield had been fired from This Morning rather than resigning as he had claimed.
In a brief statement to the Huffington Post, ITV denied Eamonn’s claims. It said: “Phillip Schofield’s decision to step down from This Morning (as his statement made clear) is a decision that has been agreed between Phillip and ITV.”
Speaking on his news program on Monday, Eamonn said: “Oh, please, stop this. He’s been fired.” Then, Isabel Webster asked, “Was that stabbing him in the back?” Eamonn later called Phillip’s co-star Holly Willoughby a “fake” and said she had “stabbed” Phillip in the back.

But recently This Morning has become a story. Throughout my TV career – including those It’s been a very difficult day – I’ve always done my best to be honorable and kind.
