I’ve Been Shopping Black Friday Deals for 18 Years, and This Is Everything You Need to Buy Today

Black Friday will always be one of my favorite times of the year thanks to my mom, who started my love of holiday shopping when I was 10 years old.

We would wake up at 3am and go to the biggest stores, like Walmart, Target and Macy’s, standing in lines for hours to get some of the best deals. So it was only fitting that, years later, I became a store editor, continuing to find the best Black Friday deals – except now I’m doing it from the comfort of my couch.

While shopping in person can be fun (and exhausting!), it’s gotten a lot easier to get discounts online. In my decade-plus of Black Friday shopping, Apple’s deals are some of the steepest and most notable each year. If you’ve got an iPhone and have yet to invest in an Apple Watch, consider this your excuse to finally do it—the Series 8 model is currently discounted by a whopping $224. As someone who doesn’t turn up the volume on their phone, it’s a game changer because I don’t miss texts and calls. I also love that I can track my daily exercise and that it buzzes every hour to prompt me to get up, a good reminder to get away from my desk and stretch my legs. Since I work from home, lounges have become a big part of my daily wardrobe, and these Spanx AirEssentials baggy pants are one of my favorite pairs. If Solawave isn’t already on your radar, it should be. The brand’s red light therapy stick has become popular with celebrity makeup artists who have used it on A-list clients like Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Mandy Moore. What’s cool about the machine is that by simply placing a cup of ice under the spout, it will automatically adjust the temperature of the drink so it doesn’t melt the ice. I’m also a fan of its sleek design as my little coffee nook is already pretty full with my pot and De’Longhi espresso machine, which is also currently on sale.

Black Friday is usually a good time to buy new headphones or earphones. Although I enjoy my Apple AirPods, they tend to fall out of my ears when I’m active, which is why I love having these from Beats. They have ear hooks that can be adjusted to fit your ears comfortably and securely.

I’ve worn mine while running outside, doing chores, and walking my dog, and they always stay put. The battery life lasts up to nine hours, and they are simply charged in the case. Amazon currently has hundreds of deals on headphones, so you’re likely to find a pair that suits your needs at a lower price.
