Jacob Elordi considers the prospect of playing James Bond “beautiful”.
The Saltburn the actor reacted to the casting rumours, saying Extra earlier this week his view on potentially inheriting the role of 007 from Daniel Craig, Sean Connery and other film legends.
“Relationship? James Bond?” the actor asked in response to a question about his name being mentioned for the role. “Is that what they’re saying?”
“Oh my god, wow,” he continued. “That’s wonderful.”
Elordieva Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan asked Elordi, “Do you play Bond?” and joked: “I’ll play your Bond villain.”
Australian actor Elordi (26) first attracted the attention of fans in Kissing Booth films before becoming one of HBO’s breakout stars Euphoria. Besides that SaltburnElordi is currently on the big screen as Elvis Presley in the Priscilla.

“I just like that people might want to put me in their movies,” he said Extra in response to the Bond rumours. “That makes me really happy.”
After 2021 No time to die, Craig stepped down as the iconic international spy after 15 years in the role. In October, Bond producer Barbara Broccoli hinted that fans may have to wait a little longer until a new actor is announced.
“I think these films reflect the times they’re in and there’s a big, big road of reinvention ahead of us for the next chapter, and we haven’t even started yet,” she told The Guardian. Meanwhile, Idris Elba, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Rege-Jean Page and others have been rumored as potential replacements.
Broccoli has also dropped hints that Bond will be played by a man, although the producers are thinking outside the box in terms of casting.
“I believe we should be creating new characters for women – strong female characters,” she said Diversity in 2020. “I’m not particularly interested in taking a male character and having a woman play him.”

Producer Michael G. Wilson previously said in 2022, “In the past we’ve tried to look at younger people. But trying to visualize them doesn’t work. Bond is already a veteran. He’s had some experience.”
Elordi said GQ earlier this month that another movie icon has reportedly become a possibility for his growing resume. “They asked me to read for Superman,” he said. “It was immediately, ‘No thanks.’ That is too much. It’s too dark for me.”
He added of the superhero role: “I was always told to say a roundabout answer or my agent would get mad at me. ‘Anything can happen!’ And obviously, anything can happen, but at this stage in my life I don’t see that I have any interest in that.”

In June, it was announced that David Corenswet would play Superman in the upcoming film Superman: Legacy with Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.
Elordi’s name has also recently been mentioned as a possibility in the Twilight franchise. At Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast On Monday, director Catherine Hardwicke discussed a potential reboot and recast of her 2008 film. For the role of vampire Edward Cullen, she said that Elordi “would probably be Edward today.”
“That would be perfect,” added Hardwicke. “Have you seen Saltburn? He is amazing.”
