In 2007, Jaffar Idukki made his acting debut with the Malayalam film Kayyopu, in which he played the role of Firoz Babu. In the same year, he appeared in several Malayalam films such as Big B (2007), Aakasham (2007), Nagaram (2007) and Kichamani MBA (2007). In 2008, he appeared in the Malayalam film Roudram, playing a police officer. Jaafar then acted in several Malayalam films like Vakathirivu (2019), Anjaam Pathiraa (2020), Vellakkarante Kamuki (2021) and Naaradan (2022 ).

Actor Kalibhavan Mani’s death: Jaffer Idduki and seven other suspects
On March 6, 2016, Kalabhavan Mani, a south Indian actor and close friend of Jaafar, died at his farmhouse in Chalakudy, Kerala. Jaffar Idukki is reportedly one of the suspects in the death of Tamil actor Kalabhavan Mani. Mani’s brother Ramakrishnan said in an interview with the media that Jafar and some of Mani’s friends had a party at a house near Padi, but Jafar was found unconscious. According to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Kalabavan Mani died due to excessive alcohol consumption and liver disease. In an interview, Jaafar refuted the accusations against him, saying:
I didn’t have time to ask him what he wanted to say because I was a guy who made a living doing various jobs. I really don’t understand what’s wrong with him. I don’t think I need any clarification on this. If the police decide to further clarify this matter, I will fully support it. Otherwise, such remarks would not affect me. ”

- Jaffar Idukki has revealed in an interview that he was forced to take a break from acting for a year by his director due to the investigation into the death of Kalabhavan Mani. Jaffer said directors had been hesitant to cast him in their films because of his legal troubles in court.
- As of 2022, Jaffar Idukki has acted as an actor in more than 150 movies.
- Soon after completing his studies, Jaffar Idukki started working in a radio and television repair shop. He also worked as an electrician, plumber and car driver. Jaafar spoke about this in an interview, saying:
When I have nothing to do at home, I pick up the radio and start working. Broadcast… On Friday evening, the school will host a Sahitya Samaj training program. The students in the class…the radios they used to sing on were taken away and dismantled for no reason. This demolition was completed while Wapa was away from home. One day, Wapa saw this scene. Thinking that I was interested in radio… broadcasting jobs, Pulikaran took me to Vijayasound Raghavan Mash in Cherutoni. Vijaya Sound is the famous sound of Idukki. - Jafar was born and raised in a farming family and began working in the fields at the age of ten. According to Jaffar Idduki, he owns 15 cents of land and a fish farming business in his hometown. He quoted in an interview,
We came to Thodupuzha from Idukki 12 years ago. A small house. There is 15 cents of land next to the house for farming. Kapa, yam, sorghum, lentil, eggplant, kachir, vinda, ginger, yam and chilli are all there. I don’t go out to buy any vegetables. At the same time, fish farming was also carried out. ”
