Bandari was born into a peasant family and became a farmer when he grew up. Bandari worked as a sales executive before getting involved in the entertainment industry. As a sales executive, he used to serve food items such as French fries and sweet corn at theaters around his hometown Warangal. Having been passionate about movies since childhood, he tried film production and shot various short films. In 2018, he shot a complete short film “Roadside Circus” on his mobile phone and uploaded it to his YouTube channel of the same name. This short film tells the story of a group of immigrants who put on a circus show in different villages.

He made his acting debut in the 2018 web series Nirudyoga Natulu, which was aired on MicTV’s YouTube channel. The series centers on four aspiring actors, including Jagadeesh, who struggle to find work in the Telugu film industry while living in Hyderabad.

Bhandari plays Muthyalu in the 2020 Indian Telugu period action thriller Palasa 1978. The storyline of the film is set in the 1970s and tells the story of incidents related to caste discrimination and untouchability in the small town of Parasa. Mohan Rao, who comes from an untouchable family, chose the path of violence to fight against non-discrimination.

In 2021, he rose to fame with the Telugu action film “Pushpa: Rise” starring Allu Arjun, in which he played the protagonist Pushpa’s loyal apprentice Keshava (also known as Mondelu). Keshawar’s Rayalaseema dialect in the film won Bhandari great appreciation.

Thereafter, he starred in the 2022 Telugu crime drama thriller Pickpocket. He also starred in the independent films Sacrifice and Oobi (2020) and the short film Hala Hala (2020).

Instigating girlfriend to commit suicide

Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari found himself embroiled in controversy after he was arrested for allegedly abetting his girlfriend’s suicide in 2023. On November 29, 2023, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari’s girlfriend (who was reportedly living with him) committed suicide, following which her father filed a complaint in Panja, Hyderabad Ghouta police charged him and accused him of harassment and extortion. During the investigation, a photo of the girl and another man taken on November 27, 2023, was found on Jagadish’s mobile phone. Jagadish reportedly later used the photo to blackmail his girlfriend, leading her to commit suicide. Based on the evidence, the Panjagutta police charged Jagadeesh under Section 306 of the IPC and arrested him on December 6, 2023, in Hyderabad.
