News about Jaid Barrymore

Jaid Barrymore’s death, according to Drew Barrymore, is something she “can’t wait for.” The TV presenter talked about her difficult upbringing and that she envy her friends who have already lost her parents.

Unlike all their mothers, mine is still alive. ‘Well, I don’t have that luxury,’ I say. I can’t wait though,” Drew told New York magazine.

“I don’t want to be in a position where I want someone to die earlier than they should so I can grow up. Actually, I want her to be happy, successful, and healthy. She’s here on Earth, but I still have some growing to do.

Later in the interview, the “ET” actress expressed regret at his critical comments. “I dared to say it and it didn’t feel good,” she admitted. “If I care. I will always care. I’m not sure if I’ve ever been able to protect myself, isolate myself, not feel myself, or put up a wall entirely.

The “Never Been Kissed” singer, 48, spoke candidly about growing up with Jaida, who was her manager and took her to Studio 54 and other Hollywood events as a child. Drew was in drug and alcohol rehab until she was 12, and when she was 13, her mother admitted her to a California psychiatric facility.

In a 2021 interview with Howard Stern, he said, “I think he created a monster and he didn’t know what to do with the monster.”

She was separated from her parents a year later, when she was only 14 years old. Although Ella Drew was able to reconcile with her mother before her death in 2004, she was never able to do the same with her father, John David Barrymore. Still, she claims that she doesn’t “blame” Jaid for her problems in an interview with New York magazine.

“I very consciously choose not to see the events of my life as things that were done to me,” she said. “I want to see it as the actions and decisions that I made. I am not attracted to those who blame others.
