Jake LaRosa, a former employee of The Try Guys, used TikTok on September 27 to post a video of him leaving the group, which has now gone viral on all social media platforms. Try Guys, the former quartet and now the trio, has been trending since yesterday. They began to be mentioned when one of their members, Ned Fulmer, was suspected of cheating on his wife, Ariel, with the collective’s production assistant, Alexandria Herring.
Jake’s video comes as the collective, which now includes Zach Kornfeld, Eugene Lee Yang and Keith Habersberger, released a statement saying the collective had severed ties with Ned Fulmer following the controversy. According to their statement:
“Ned Fulmer is no longer working for The Try Guys. We do not see a common path forward as a result of a comprehensive internal audit. We appreciate your support as we negotiate this transition.”

Jake LaRosa, 24, was formerly head of social media for The Try Guys. Jake previously supervised the comedy group’s other YouTube account, according to Just Jared. In fact, he has appeared in many of their hit movies, most recently Try Guys Staff try Vegan McDonald’s. Jake also starred in another popular video alongside another member of the group, Keith Habersberger, on the latter’s personal YouTube channel. Jake posted a sample of it on his Instagram profile, writing:
“I appreciate you putting me on Eat The Menu, Keith.”
In 2021, he also took to Instagram and shared several images with the caption:
“swipe to see how I feel knowing I will be working for @tryguys”
However, before the news of Ned Fulmer leaving the comedy group, LaRosa has just posted on TikTok a video announcing his departure from the group.
The text of the TikTok video reads:
“Good morning everyone, except Adam Levine, John Mulaney and…”
The camera slowly pans across a photo of Ned Fulmer and his wife Ariel, as Jake holds the couple’s 2021 cookbook, The Date Night Cookbook. The former social media manager downed his glass while You Stupid B***h played in the background. Jake captioned the video, “My last day is Friday,” letting his TikTok fans know he’s leaving the group. Many social media users speculated in the comments and on Twitter about whether he was aware of the fraud.

Following the team’s announcement of Ned Fulmer’s cheating incident, the YouTuber apologized on his social media platforms. Fulmer apologized to Ariel and the rest of the group, saying he had a “consensus professional relationship.”
The full statement is as follows:
“Family should have always been my primary concern, but I became distracted and developed a consensual professional relationship. I apologize for any hurt my actions may have caused to the boys and fans, especially Ariel. The only thing that matters right now is my wife and kids, so that’s where I’ll focus my efforts.”
Ariel Fulmer also released a statement. She asks her friends and followers on social media to “respect” [their] privacy for our benefit [their] children.”
