Jana Duggar Gives Rare Update in First YouTube Video Post in Over 3 Years: 'New Life Blossoming Everywhere'

Jana Duggar loves life on the farm.

On Sunday, June 30, former Count on star shared her first YouTube video in over three years, as she returned to the platform to give fans an update on the Arkansas property.

In a video titled “Life Update + Projects I’ve Been Working on,” Jana, 34, began: “It’s been a while since I’ve shared an update. So I wanted to show you all what we’ve been up to over the past few months on the farm and some fun projects we worked on.”

The reality star explained how her sisters Johannah, 18, and Josie, 14, helped her out, revealing they bought “a whole truckload” of sheep and goats, as well as cleaning out the old shed on the farm, among other tasks.

“So many new children were born this spring!” Jana captioned the video, showing fans an adorable baby goat, as well as chickens, one of their ducks and a snake she hooked in the garden.

She revealed that they had built a new fence to stop the sheep and goats from eating the garden plants, sharing that they came up with a plan before going to the grocery store to “buy all the materials.”

‘This is how it’s done these days,’ said Jana behind the camera as she showed the loading of materials onto the truck and jokingly added: ‘I’m going to retire now, it’s good for you!’

Jana also explained how the family made special memories finishing the fence late at night. “I’m so happy with how everything came together,” she said in the video.

“Not only does it keep the animals out, but it just creates this beautiful backdrop in the garden, and I think it complements the whole area,” Jana continued. “We decided to put an awning on the side of the shed just to give a bit more shade for the animals. I absolutely love this time of year.”

“You can see flowers growing, vegetables starting to grow, and it’s just new life blooming everywhere. It’s so beautiful here,” she concluded.

Jana’s post came after she returned to social media in May after a two-year hiatus, sharing a clip of purple flowers, followed by a Mother’s Day post for her mom, Michelle Duggar, on Instagram.

Jana’s social media hiatus comes shortly after she reached an out-of-court settlement in January 2022 on a child endangerment charge she received in late 2021, PEOPLE previously reported.

In December 2021, Jana broke her silence on her Instagram Stories after receiving a written citation, insisting it “was an accident and the child was unharmed” after one of the children she was babysitting “wandered outside by herself”.

“I certainly was never arrested as some may have implied,” she said at the time, insisting she was “upset” with herself “that it even happened.”

News of Jana’s accusation comes just a day after her brother Josh Duggar was convicted of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material. He was sentenced to more than 12 years in federal prison on child pornography charges in May 2022.
