Jane Fonda, 86, Just Stole the Show in Knockout Jumpsuit, Silver Waves and Bold Red Lip on Cannes Red Carpet

It may only be the first day of the Cannes Film Festival, but red carpet style is already so important.

Jane Fonda, 86, came out for Second act screening and opening ceremony on May 14 and wowed everyone in her gorgeous long-sleeve V-neck black jumpsuit with floral appliqué and beaded waist by Elie Saab.

She threw an animal print coat over the top (for added drama, of course), and accessorized with all things silver: Pomellato high jewelry, heels, and hair. She also added bold red lips for added fun.

Back to that hair though. Fonda wore her silver curls perfectly brushed and swept to one side. She had one piece of hair strategically pulled down over her eye (remember that drama we mentioned earlier?). The whole style – combined with her glam outfit – was the reason for a va-va-voom appearance on the red carpet in France.

Jane Fonda reflects on the success of her iconic workout videos as she teams up with H&M Move: ‘I’m so proud’

The stars are already out in full force at Cannes, France. Meryl Streep also appeared not only once, but twice on May 14.

For the first time, she showed her casual-chic style at a photo call at the beginning of the day. The actress, who is receiving an honorary Palme d’Or this year, wore a white Michael Kors suit with a blue and white striped LilySilk shirt. She paired it all with silver Jimmy Choo heels, Prada sunglasses and a Gigi Burris wide-brimmed hat to keep the sun at bay.

Later in the day, she hit the same red carpet as Fonda, wearing another all-white look. This is a Dior Haute Couture long sleeve white silk dress with pleated detailing at the waist. She paired it with Fred Leighton platform heels and jewels.
