She had hoped to get through after the first vote, so she was overjoyed to become the first celebrity to leave the Australian jungle after 15 days.
But she loved her time on the ITV show – because of the people she got to spend it with.
Here, Jane told The Sun’s Amir Razavi her thoughts on the 11 celebrities she’s camped with in an exclusive interview with us.
COLEEN ROONEY

Jane has a new title for Super Detective Coleen RooneyCredits: Rex
“I have a new title for her – Bored of Wagatha Christie. I nicknamed her Col-Umbo.
“She’s quiet, quite reserved, but underestimate her at your peril.
“She is the absolute center of the Rooney household. She runs it like a well-oiled machine.
“If she could do every job in that camp, that camp would run like a well-oiled machine.
“We had a trunk with a lot of stuff in it and it was totally shambolic while other people were doing it. She went in there and it looked brand new. Everything had a place. If she had tags, they would have been on them.
“She has a very organized mind and I’m very pleased because I think the elements of Col – as I call her now, because we’re at that level – that the public saw were quite caricatured.
“Like, you know, Wagatha Christie, the footballer’s wife, whatever.
“So I think for her to get into something and show herself and how strong she is and how lovely she is… I was really happy to see that.”
DANNY JONES

“Danny is absolutely wonderful. I’ve just spent some time with his mum and I just said to her, ‘You’re so honoured’.
“He is such a wonderful man. He is very positive, sunny and smiling.
“But underneath that, he’s a pretty complex person. I think he’s going to need a lot from being in the jungle. I asked him, what are you going to take home from this?
“He said that ‘I just need to be more in the moment with my family and just in life’, because, he said, ‘I’m constantly working and worrying about work’
“And he said, ‘Now I realize that’s less important and it’s things like this, just hanging out with good people and having good conversations.'”
DEAN McCULLOUGH

“Dean is an absolute force of positivity. He’s witty, funny, caring. But most of all, he’s himself.
“In a quiet moment I had with him at some point, he said he was badly bullied at school.
“And he said to me, ‘Sometimes I worry that people think I’m too much.’
“And I told him: ‘You must never feel that. It’s their problem, not yours.’
“He’s a really special person, Dean.”
BARRY McGUIGAN

Jane loved Barry very much Credit: Eroteme
“Barry is a fighter from head to toe. I kept looking at him… he’s got a bit of Terence Stamp and Sean Connery in him.
“But if you’re Barry’s friend, you’re lucky because Barry will always be on your side.
“He’s an absolute underdog. And he really struggled with being a leader because he wasn’t allowed to do anything. He just wants to do everything all the time.
“A really, really wonderful man who personally went through some very difficult times.
“It was nice to see him being appreciated in camp and having a little laugh. He and Danny have really bonded.”
GO MABUS

Oti was always a ray of sunshine Credits: Eroteme
“Oti is a lady of positive energy.
“I learned salsa, I learned the Charleston, I learned something else… I took stretching classes.
“She’s a fantastic woman. The first week she was like, on all the time. And then the second week, you saw a completely different Oti.
“Somehow she relaxed a bit, got some sleep – because she had a daughter who is only one – and she realized, you know, babies at that age have no idea where you are.
“She wants to have more children and she said, ‘If I don’t do it now, I probably won’t.’ So she wanted to take the opportunity for herself.
“I think she had a great time, but she’s just relaxed, not so excited now. It’s just a pleasure.”
THE HONORABLE RICHARD COLES
14
Reverend Richard Coles was there for all Credits: Rex
“God, I had such deep conversations with Richard.
“We talked about religion, about politics, about Margaret Thatcher. We had so many conversations.
“He is a very, very interesting man.
“He was in the commies and joined a monastery – I mean, you can’t get two more extreme things in life.
“I kept calling him Disrespect Reverend. He’s like me: he travels a lot, he likes to be with people, but he also likes to have his own space every now and then.
“I think he was really scared to be around a lot of people 24/7, but he was just saying he couldn’t believe how easy and calm he felt because everyone was so good to him.”
MAURA HIGGINS
14
Jane noticed signs of Maura’s anxietyCredit: Eroteme
“Maura is an absolute screamer. Oh, my God.
“I did a trial and challenge with Maura, and the whole thing is really about, in a way, managing Maura’s anxiety.
“Even if we’re just getting into trials and challenges, it doesn’t matter when they actually happen.
“But she has a way of expressing herself, she’s hilarious, she swears like a soldier.
“The whole crew, the guys who were filming, were just laughing because she’s so funny.
“And she’s 100 percent herself, which I really, really like, you know, all her weaknesses and all her good sides. She’s 100 percent authentic.”
MELVIN ODOOM
14
Jane wants Melvin to win Credits: Eroteme
“Melvin is very much under the radar.
“Sometimes you don’t notice Melvin’s there because he’s not begging for your attention. He’s an absolute floorer. He pulls it off.
“He’s not one of those people who comes up and says, ‘Look what I’ve done, everybody.’ He just goes up and down with the water pot, puts it where it needs to be, comes and sits quietly, occasionally goes off and has quiet moments.
“But if you talk to him, he’s the loveliest, loveliest guy. He’s very respectful of women, very kind, very attentive, always asks how you’re doing, only talks about himself when you ask him.
“I’d like Melvin to make it to the finals. I hope people notice Melvin, because he’s not looking for attention. So they have to go look for him.”
TULISA CONTOSTAVLOS

Tulisa has a fighting spirit Credits: Rex
“Tulisa, the boss. That’s a well-deserved title. Tulisa is a tough cookie.
“We are similar in many ways, in that we don’t let people go so easily.
“But when we do, you wait your whole life. And I hope, and I think, I’m going in.
“Because we’ve had a lot of great conversations and she’s had a lot of tough times in her life – some of which are well documented.
“She made a documentary about her mother’s struggles with mental health and how she dealt with it as a child, and she is a fighter.
“She got to where she is now through self-therapy, if that’s what it’s all about, and she’s in a really strong position.
“And the fact that she made it to the end and is still in there is an absolute credit to her fighting spirit.”
ALAN HALSALL

Alan is a hard worker and helped me out Credits: Rex
“Alan, oh my God. Inspector Gadget!
“We all came saying, ‘There’s no plug in the tub. They gave us a bath, but there’s no plug’. Alan: ‘I’ll make a plug.’ He makes a cork.
“‘There are leaves in the shower’. Alan: ‘I’ll make a broom. I’ll sweep up the leaves’.
“‘Our clothes won’t dry’… ‘I’ll make washing line’.
“He’s just so resourceful and practical. He’s a great guy and he’s also a hard worker. He’s helped me a lot.
“Whenever we were allowed, or whenever we thought we could get away with it, he was always there helping me carry my laundry up and down the stairs. So he’s a really decent guy.
– And he’s Tyrone from Coronation Street!
GK BARRY
14
GK Barry left us all emotional Credits: Rex
“She’s very funny and very successful. She’s doing a show in front of 10,000 people on December 15th, and I said, ‘Have you written that yet?’. She said, ‘Oh, no, I’m just going, ‘What?’ .
“She has a huge fan base and I can see why.
“She has absolutely no filter, and that’s her thing. She’s funny. But then again, for the first few days, she was a very good Barry.
“And then there was this wonderful sequence where she became Grace and she had her moments where she was hilarious.
“But she was also a lot quieter, she didn’t feel the need to be involved with us all the time, which was great.
“And her speech at the end when she got emotional was very touching, because I think she was on a real journey.
“She said she used to look up people who said horrible things about her online and I gave her a few pep talks about it.
“Hopefully some of that will stick and she’ll really start to ignore them – it doesn’t matter if you’re looking for it. Ignore the noise and just be who you are and just rock out.”
