Jashodaben Narendrabhai Modi (age 67; as of 2019) was born in 1952 in Brahminwada, Bombay state (now Gujarat) as “Jashodaben Chimanlal Modi” (maiden name).

Jasudaben was engaged to Modi a year before their wedding. In 1963, when Jasudaben was 11 years old, she married Modi. Modi and Jasudaben started living together (Gauna) when Modi was 16, and Modi turned 18 in 1968. According to her, Modi, who wanted to travel the world, left home after three years. Married for many years. Modi was separated from Jashudaben and wandered in the Himalayas; practicing sannyasa. Jasudaben, on the other hand, returned to his father’s house and devoted himself to his studies.
