Jason Aldean celebrates his second daughter.
On Tuesday, August 20, the country star, 47, shared a sweet birthday tribute to his daughter Kendyl, who he shares with ex-wife Jessica Ussery, as she turned 17. The proud dad shared a photo of himself smiling next to Kendyl and his wife Brittany in their home this morning, with a birthday balloon behind them.
As the carousel continued, the “Hicktown” singer showed off tons of adorable photos of baby Kendyl from over the years, getting sentimental as she described how her little girl is “almost grown.”

“As parents we spend all our young years running and running, just trying to keep up and raise good people. One day you wake up and they’re almost grown and you realize you were pretty good at this dad thing,” Aldean wrote.
He continued: “I can’t believe it’s been 17 years since you came into the world. You’ve been such a joy to all of us watching you grow up and seeing what kind of person you are. I’m so proud of you and everything you stand for.”
“I love you so much and I hope you have the best day ever. Happy birthday Kendyl! π π,” the proud papa added.
In the photos, the father-daughter duo can be seen hugging each other, enjoying a baseball game from the stands and smiling while hugging each other.

Aldean and Ussery also have a daughter, Keeley, 21. In addition, the musician is father to son Memphis, 6, and daughter Navy, 5, whom he shares with Brittany.
In November 2021, Aldean spoke with PEOPLE about continuing his music career while raising a family.
“It feels good to know that for the last 16 years I’ve had the opportunity to wake up and go do a job that I really love,” Aldean said. “If everything was gone tomorrow, I would say, ‘My kids are good. It was great.’ I have no regrets at all.”
Although he has no regrets, Aldean previously said that balancing career and family wasn’t always easy.
“I don’t want to say I’ve accomplished everything I set out to do because I haven’t, but I’ve accomplished a lot more than I thought I would,” Aldean told PEOPLE. “I got four beautiful children. I got a wonderful wife and had a great career.”
