Jason Biggs Puts PG Twist on Iconic American Pie Scene for Film's 25th Anniversary: 'Really Hit Home' (Exclusive)

Jason Biggs looks back American Pie25 years later.

In celebration of the iconic film’s 25th anniversary, Biggs teamed up with Edwards Desserts to recreate the movie’s classic pie scene — this time, the family way.

The spot, which highlights the new “Anniversary Apple Pie,” shows Biggs’ character coming home and eyeing the pie on the counter before taking a phone call and walking out. When he returned, he came in and saw his little boy eating a pie. Not only does he eat it with his hands, but it’s all over his face.

“It’s not what it seems,” he says.

The two sit together, examining the mostly eaten pie. Then, Biggs says, “Well…we’ll tell your mother that we, um, ate it all.” The scene ends with the two laughing together.

Biggs tells PEOPLE he enjoyed himself as he magnified the “next-level apple pie” moment of celebration.

“Edwards and I have been partners for a while, but what we decided to do for the 25th anniversary of the movie is to pay homage to that scene and the classic apple pie that’s in that movie,” he shares.

“They’ve made this amazing new version. It’s quite elevated with salted caramel, white chocolate cream and spiced apple compote. It’s luxurious.”

Calling the pie “delicious,” Biggs continues, “It’s apple pie, but it’s next-level apple pie.”

“For me, I thought, ‘Hey, wouldn’t it be great if we could do a remake of the pie scene, but with a reimagined version of it where I’m Eugene,'” he explains, referring to Eugene Levy, who played Jim’s father. in the 1999 classic.

The actor (46) has sons Lazlo (6½) and Sid (10) with his wife Jenny Mollen.

“It’s more for the family, and I have kids now, so I really liked this version. I think American Pie fans will be really happy about that,” he adds.
