Jason Mcintyre Career

In 2006, Jason McIntyre, a graduate of James Madison University, and David Lessa launched the “The Big Lead” blog in the United States. In 2009, the popular site that covers sports news averaged more than 8 million monthly views. After gaining praise for his blog’s sharp analysis of sports, USA Today seized the chance to adopt it as its flagship in 2012. Under his direction, it has grown to become one of the most widely read sports blogs in the US.

The author of the blog began his career in journalism as a staff writer for “The Bergen Record (N.J.)”. At “Maxim,” “ESPN.com,” “ESPN The Magazine,” and “CBSSports.com,” he worked as a freelance reporter before becoming an editor at US Weekly.

He worked as the host of “Yahoo Sports Radio” before joining Fox Sports Radio as the host in September 2016. Together with his coworkers Colin Cowherd and Jason Whitlock, he now contributes to the FS1 programme “SPEAK FOR YOURSELF.”

In an unexpected turn of events, Minute Media has been revealed to have purchased The Big Lead. Additionally, Minute Media owns websites including 90min, 12up, MentalFloss, and The Big Lead, which it purchased from Gannet when Jason McIntyre sold it to the company in 2010 for a seven-figure fee.

However, in an unexpected change of events, Jason, who started the site in 2006, won’t be joining the new acquisition. Minute Media is reportedly aiming to make big changes to The Big Lead, including replacing the staffing on board, according to a March 2019 report.

The reason Jason won’t be working with the team has not yet been made public. Jason hasn’t spoken anything about it yet. However, it appears that the man who launched The Big Lead will have to find a new endeavour.
