Jason Momoa Flexes in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Behind-the-Scenes Video: ‘Good to Be Back’ (Exclusive)

Jason Momoa is back in the water.

In the behind-the-scenes footage from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdomsequel to the 2018 hit, Momoa says, “It feels good to be back,” as he is shown holding the character’s golden trident on set.

The new film follows Arthur Curry’s Momo, aka Aquaman, as Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) returns for another attempt at revenge on Atlantis. Patrick Wilson returns as Aquaman’s half-brother, who teams up with him to stop Black Manta.

“Jason brought himself and his style and his taste and his culture. He introduced the world to that side of Aquaman,” Mateen II, 37, says of Momo’s approach to the character.

Wilson, 50, says in the clip that the character is “so Jason’s.” He adds: “He can deliver [all] your side on the screen.”

Director James Wan is back, and in the featurette, the pair can be seen embracing after Momoa completes the stunt.

“In the first movie, Aquaman is a loner, a bit of a traveler, trying to find his place in the world,” explains Wan. “In the second movie, he’s now a king with a day job and a purpose.”
