Jason Patric’s Brother Jordan Miller Dead After Being Struck By Bus

Actor Jason Patric’s younger brother was reportedly killed this week after being hit by a vehicle.

On Wednesday, NorthJersey.com shared the news of a pedestrian fatality after a 56-year-old man was struck by a New Jersey Transit bus in Fort Lee that morning. The incident was reported around 5:20 a.m. at Lemoine Avenue and Bruce Reynolds Boulevard.

On Friday, TMZ identified the victim as Jordan Miller.

PEOPLE reached out to Patric’s rep for a statement, but they did not immediately respond.

According to NorthJersey.com, police said the pedestrian was crossing Bridge Plaza South on Lemoine Avenue when the bus made a left turn and hit him. At the time, the victim’s name was not made public.

Bus 159 was en route from Fort Lee to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York when the incident occurred.

After the accident, Port Authority and Fort Lee police officers responded immediately and performed CPR. The victim was taken to Englewood Hospital where he was listed in serious condition.

He was later pronounced dead.

In a statement released Wednesday, Deputy Chief Edward Young of the Fort Lee Police Department said no charges have been filed against the 60-year-old bus driver.

On Friday, TMZ reported that police were still investigating the fatal crash.

Miller was working as a customer service representative at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in midtown Manhattan at the time of his death, the outlet said.

“Yesterday I received an unexpected phone call early this morning. It was from the Port Authority’s Chief Security Officer informing me of the death of a Port Authority employee,” Kevin J. O’Toole, president of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, wrote Thursday for the New Jersey Globe. “When I heard the deceased’s name, Jordan Miller, I stopped in my tracks. I knew him. I met Jordan over a decade ago and he left a lasting impression.”
