Jasprit Singh Bumrah was born on Monday, December 6, 1993, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India (30 years; age as of 2023). Mumbai Indians coach John Wright first noticed his talent and helped him get into the Mumbai Indians team. Since his action is a bit unorthodox, it’s difficult for batsmen to read his movements. He surprised almost everyone by using different bowling techniques. In such a short span of time, he earned the reputation of “The King of Yorkers” and “The Death of Bowling” for his lethal yorkers.

Jasprit attended Nirman High School in Ahmedabad. At the age of 14, he decided to become a cricketer. In 2012, he started playing as a bowler for the Gujarat under-19 team. He made his T20 debut against Maharashtra in the 2012-2013 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and won the Man of the Match award.

In 2013, he started playing for Mumbai Indians (MI), which was also his IPL debut. In his first IPL match, he took 3 wickets for a total of 32 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), becoming the second man to take three wickets on debut wicket bowler. In the same year, he made his debut against Vidarbha Cricket Team in Gujarat and took 7 wickets in the match and became the player who took the most wickets that season. Due to his stellar performance in IPL 6, the Mumbai Indians management once again bought him for IPL 7 for Rs 12 crore.
