Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s relationship continues to develop amid their ongoing separation.
During the Friday, May 31 episode of the estranged couple When reality hits with Jax and Brittany podcast, solo Taylor, 44, began the episode addressing reports that he is back on the dating scene after being spotted spending time with model Paige Woolen.
The Vanderpump Rules The alum’s announcement follows the announcement in February that the couple were separating after four years of marriage.
“I am not – I repeat not – dating anyone. I was seen with someone and it was strictly lunch. Obviously Brittany and I are separated and have been for a long time,” the star Valley claimed at the top of the episode. “I want to say it very clearly. We have been separated for a long time.”
“What we’re going through right now is tough,” Taylor said. “Marriage is not easy.”

As the couple continues to work through their split, Taylor revealed that they are considering different ways to manage their relationship, including “therapy, separation and maybe, possibly, dating other people.”
“We’re trying to exhaust everything before we have to divorce β if that’s the case,” Taylor said.
He went on to reveal that the former couple are “both on the same page about dating other people,” noting, “That’s fine.”
“We both agree it’s okay. The most important thing is our son, though.” The Bravo stars have a three-year-old son, Cruz.

Taylor gave more insight into the couple’s agreement regarding the possibility of dating other people. “Part of taking time out is exploring other people. All marriages are different, but this is what’s good for our marriage. It’s something we’ve talked about and we’re on the same page. We have a few rules with it, but it’s what we are investigating.”
The Bravo star reiterated that he believes both parties are involved in this new deal, stressing that his estranged wife is “doing what she does.”
“I know it’s not out there what she’s doing,” he said. “But she does her thing too.”

Concluding his opening remarks, Taylor denied speculation that he was romantically involved with Woolen. “I’m not dating anyone β nor do I plan to date anyone,” Taylor said.
He admitted, “I don’t know if I’m ready to start dating again. I don’t think so. Right now we’re just hanging out with whoever. I know Brittany’s probably doing her thing too. We agree on that.”

On Thursday, May 30, Taylor also denied being in a relationship with Woolen in an X (formerly known as Twitter) post.
βI am not dating anyone and I would like you all to know the whole story about this situation. It’s not what you think. π”, he wrote in a short statement after the two went out on Saturday, May 25.
