Jay Allen and Kylie Morgan Celebrate Their First Wedding Anniversary: ‘Cheers to an Eternity More’

Jay Allen and Kylie Morgan are celebrating a year together!

The country singers — who tied the knot on Nov. 27, 2022 after their nuptials were postponed for a month due to Hurricane Ian — marked their wedding milestone with a trip to Maui, Hawaii, where they both performed to raise money for wildfire relief.

Morgan (28) surprised Allen (37) with a special trip that has great significance for both of them.

“After [losing] my childhood home in a tornado over 20 years ago, and then Jay and I had to postpone our wedding last year after Hurricane Ian destroyed so many of our close friends’ homes in Fort Myers, natural disaster relief is very close to our hearts and it’s at the forefront of our minds very often,” Morgan shared in an Instagram post last week.

“We are so honored to spend our anniversary doing what we love, with who we love and all for the victims who lost so much in this dream destination,” she wrote. “Many thanks to @ritzcarltonkapalua & @renateevents for making this anniversary dream come true. See you soon, Maui.”

On Monday, Alen shared the anniversary on Instagram. Along with photos of their wedding in Fort Myers, Florida and a selfie from their getaway in Hawaii, the singer wrote a sweet tribute to his wife.

“I remember being 17 and going through my first breakup (which we all think is the end of the world),” he wrote. “Young me was so irritatingly devastated, all I could do was clench my fists at the sky with tears in my eyes. It seems like that night was a long time ago, but I remember vividly how I prayed to God to one day bring me a woman who would never let me feel that way again.”

“Fast forward 20 years (damn, I’m old), I’m so eternally grateful to say He heard me…because, in His timing, my prayers were answered and then some. Kylie Morgan Allen, you are my dream girl,” he continued.

Allen added: “Thank you for loving me and letting me love you. Thank you for guarding my heart and letting me guard yours. Thank you for sometimes kicking my stubborn ass and challenging me to be the best version of myself. And thank you for hearing me even when I fight for you.”

“I woke up this morning with you in Hawaii. I’ve loved these last few days with you in paradise, but I honestly don’t care where we wake up, as long as we’re together,” he wrote. “12 months down, and since I know how God loves to answer prayers, I’m toasting an eternity.”

At their wedding, Allen and Morgan had a tattoo station and after saying “I do” themselves, they got matching ink – an upside-down triangle emblazoned with the words “Until Death.” The shape, which symbolized their love story, was a motif at weddings and receptions, and the expression was also engraved in Allen’s wedding ring.

“Now I’m crying on the boat 🥹,” Morgan commented on Allen’s tribute. “I love you. So. damn Much.”

The country singer’s wedding has been a long-awaited affair for the couple, whose paths first crossed eight years ago at a songwriters’ mixer in Nashville.

“I was the girl who swore she would never get married because I was already married to my dreams,” Morgan told PEOPLE last year before her wedding. “Being an independent woman following my dreams, I always felt like I had to apologize or temper my ambitions for the sake of my relationships. With Jay, I never had to explain myself, apologize or give up on my goals.”

“He supported my independence while standing next to me as my biggest supporter,” she added.
