She started her career as a model. In 2017, she made her acting debut in the Kannada film Uppu Huli Khara, playing the role of Jayashree.
She came into the limelight through the reality show Bigg Boss 3 Kannada (2015) and was eliminated in the second week of the show. In 2019, she acted in the Kannada film Kannad Gothilla and in the same year, she acted in the Kannada music video Olledallappo. Before her suicide in 2021, she was shooting for the Kannada film Shiradi Ghat.

On Sunday, January 24, 2021, she committed suicide at her residence in Pragathi layout, Magadi Road, Bengaluru, and her body was found on January 25, 2021. In an interview, the local police said,
The actor was found hanging in a room of her residence located in Pragathi layout on Magadi Road in the city. The actor’s body has been sent for postmortem and police have started investigation.
As early as July 22, 2020, she shared a post about depression.
I quit. Goodbye, this fucked up world and depression.”
Later, she deleted the post and shared another post saying,
I’m fine and safe! Love you all. ”
On July 25, 2020, she shared a live video on her social media account in which she talked about her depression. She said,
I am not doing this for publicity. I am not expecting financial help from Sudeep sir. I just wish I could die because I cannot beat depression. I am financially well off but I suffer from depression. I am going through a lot of personal problems. I was betrayed at a young age and I cannot get over it. ”
According to some sources, she was put in a nursing home and was treated for depression in a rehabilitation center.

My mom is my rock and she is always there for me in good times and bad. I always seek her advice before making any important decisions.”
- She is a supporter of the All India Women’s Empowerment Party which was founded on November 12, 2017.
- She said that in 2019, she complained to the police that her uncle had physically and sexually harassed her.
We had some property dispute. Yesterday I went to my uncle’s house with my mother to settle the matter. But he was rude to me and kicked us out of the house in the middle of the night. He has been harassing me physically and sexually like this since I was a child. He once hit me with a shoe. “
However, her uncle has denied all such allegations.
