Jean Smart is back on the red carpet looking more stylish than ever.
At the 76th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards Red Carpet, Hacks star, 72, looked elegant in a bespoke Laura Basci couture dress. The ensemble featured a floor-length strapless navy blue gown with a sheer cape.
The actress completed her look with Rahaminov Diamonds jewelry, silver pointe shoes and a dark blue clutch bag. Her makeup was fresh and natural, with peach blush and bronze eyes.

During the ceremony, Smart won Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Hacks as a legendary comic named Deborah Vance trying to stay relevant with the help of young comedy writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder, who is up for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy). The Designing women The veterinarian previously won Emmys for her portrayal of Deborah in 2021 and 2022.

Smart’s return to the Emmys red carpet comes after the star took some time off to recover from heart surgery in 2023. In February of that year, she shared a message with her followers on Instagram about her health scare.
“February is American Heart Month – a time when the nation puts heart health in the spotlight, so it’s important for me to share with all of you that I’m recovering from a recent successful heart procedure,” she wrote.

“I am fortunate to have great care and support from family and friends as I continue to recover,” the actress continued. “Please listen to your body and talk to your doctor – I’m so glad I did!”
While she (i Hacks) took a break from the 2023 Emmys in 2022. Smart dazzled on the red carpet before accepting her award for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series wearing an elegant off-the-shoulder white gown. During her acceptance speech, she joked that her fellow nominee, Rachel Brosnahan, tried to sabotage her by sending her a delicious gift right before the ceremony.

“She’s very classy, she sent me this box of these amazing designer cookies, they’re about 5 pounds each — and I thought it was so nice and classy until I realized she was hoping I wouldn’t be able to fit into one dress in Hollywood,” she said. “Thanks anyway.”
