Jeannie Mai Jenkins Said She Was ‘Honored to Walk Beside’ Her ‘Love’ Jeezy 9 Days Before Divorce Filing

Jeannie Mai Jenkins seemed to have nothing but love for her husband Jeezy in the days leading up to his divorce filing.

Really host, 44, shared a sweet post on Instagram on Sept. 6 in which she and the couple’s 20-month-old daughter Monaco prayed together and celebrated the rapper, 45, making The New York Times Best seller list for his book Adversity for Sale.

In the video, the television personality said: “Hello God! How are you? I’m fine. God, I want to thank you for my family. God, I want to thank you for my food and God, thank you because my dad made it The New York Times Best Seller List” as her daughter repeated each sentence.

The clip ended with mother and daughter applauding Jeezy’s achievement.

Jenkins praised her husband’s success in the caption of the post, writing, “Today I’m celebrating a remarkable milestone for my husband, @jeezy, whose memoir ‘Adversity For Sale’ has jumped to the New York Times bestseller list.”

“Your story has always been an inspiration to me, but when I saw it in print, I was even more amazed by your strength and wisdom,” she continued. “You invited us into the most intimate corners of your life, where pain and triumph coexist.”

Jeezy filed for divorce from Jeannie Mai Jenkins after 2 years of marriage

On Thursday, Jeezy filed for divorce from Jenkins in Atlanta, Georgia, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE. The couple had been married for two and a half years and had a prenuptial agreement.

Jeezy’s filing states that the former couple “currently reside in a bona fide state of separation” and that their marriage is “irretrievably broken” with “no hope of reconciliation.”

The document also states that the rapper wants to share joint legal custody of Monaco.

Representatives of the couple did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on the news, which was first reported The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Jenkins and Jeezy married in March 2021 at their Atlanta home and welcomed Monaco in January 2022.
