Jennifer Hudson and Common Walk Hand-in-Hand amid Romance Rumors

Jennifer Hudson and Common have rekindled dating rumors.

The couple were seen holding hands on Saturday while attending a tribute to jazz singer Mikel Mwalimu-Banksat at Joe’s Pub Theater in New York City.

Hudson, 42, looked casual as she wore a white jacket over black trousers with black and white heels, while Common, 51, wore white sneakers, a cream shirt and cargo pants.

The couple appeared to be in great spirits as they held hands and entered the hall together. A representative for Hudson had no comment.

On Monday, the singer and talk show host appeared on CBS Morning, where she teased her current relationship status. The show’s host, Gayle King, asked: “They say you’re very happy?”

“I’m very happy,” Hudson replied, to which King (68) added, “a very nice relationship.”

“Yes ma’am,” Hudson replied. King teased, “With someone who shall remain nameless.”

CBS Morning co-host Nate Burleson then asked, “So you’re booed?”

“Booed? I think it’s more sophisticated than booed,” Hudson joked. After Burleson, 42, explained that he thought it wasn’t a “tangle,” Hudson agreed, “Definitely not a tangle. That’s for sure.”

In February, Common and Hudson were spotted leaving Noba in Malibu together. In a photo taken at the time, the pair walked side by side as Hudson wore a pink puffer jacket while the rapper wore a colorful hoodie.

Hudson previously addressed rumors that she and Common were dating in an interview with TMZ in August. She then said: “Rumors say a lot of things. But he’s a beautiful man, I’ll give you that. That’s for sure.”

The two were first rumored to be dating in 2022 when they were spotted together in Philadelphia and Chicago. This comes after it was announced in May 2022 that he will be starring in the upcoming action thriller Breathe.

However, in September 2022, Hudson clarified the rumours. “People create their own stories about it and it’s like, OK, you know, how do you feel,” she told Party tonight in that time. “We were doing a movie together and he played my husband. We have to eat between those moments.”
