The world of fun regrets Roberta Flak.
After the musician “killed me with his song” Died at the age of 88, February 24 after the diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in August 2022, many celebrities enjoying Flak’s work or crossed the trails with her personal divided stands on social media.
“We are broken by the heart that the famous Roberta Flak passed away this morning on February 24, 2025,” read a statement to the public in which he announced the news. “She died calmly surrounded by her family. Roberta broke the boundaries and records. She was also a proud educator.”

Jennifer Hudson shared a photo of Flak’s post on X and wrote: “So sad to hear about Roberta Flak.
John Lennon’s sons, Julian and Sean on, both headed to the social media platform and paid tribute. “Roberta Flak was a neighbor of Dad in New York and a dear friend of our family. It’s very sad to hear about her passing,” Julian wrote on X. “The deepest condolences to anyone who loved her.”
Sean on the X, “Roberta Flak was a very close family friend and neighbor. She was an incredibly kind woman. Uniquely talented. I am eternal grateful to know her. My heart is broken for having to leave this country. Will always you I love. ”

Kelly Rowland shared that her “heart was just sinking” when he heard the news of Flack’s death. “Our dear Mrs. Roberta Flack ascended beyond, but with which beauty she left us !! Thank you for your effortless, the most beautiful gift,” she wrote on X.
“Thank you for being separated from the sound record to the most amazing moments of my life,” Rowland continued. “So grateful to you!”
Tyler, the creator shared a simple tribute to X, writing: “Roberta Flak is sure to travel.”

The Reverend Al Sharpton shared several pictures of himself and the killer in the post on X and wrote: “I am deeply sad because of the passage of the legendary #robertaflack, one of the greatest musicians and vocalists of all time.”
“Her voice and music shaped the fabric of American culture itself, bringing depth, soul and meaning to generations. But outside her art, she was a fighter and activist of freedom,” he continued.
“For the first time I met her when I was only 12 at a rally for the Breadbasket surgery. She was a dedicated supporter of the movement and the Rev. Jesse Jackson. The last 25 years remained an unwavering friend of the national action network, always appears and advocated for justice,” Sharpton added. “Let her rest in peace and power. Her music will live forever.”

Questlove shared on Instagram a photo of Grammy winner and wrote: “Thank you Roberta Flak. Rest in the melody.”
The flea of red hot chili peppers similarly posted a photo of the singer “The first time I’ve ever seen your face.” He wrote in the inscription “Roberta forever.”
Sarah Jessica Parker wrote a cordial note with a photo of the FLACK on Instagram. “Listening was blissful. Heart and soul,” she wrote. “We are millions of me and millions.
