Jennifer Lopez Knows How to Level-Up Loungewear Looks — Here’s the Key Thing to Consider

Jennifer Lopez and I don’t do loungewear the same way — but maybe we should.

For example, this morning I logged on to the internet in an oversized tracksuit and a pair of jogging shorts that had been in my closet for almost a decade. But on November 16 Fraudsters star was dressed head-to-toe in a gray tracksuit, tracksuit, puffer vest and calf-high boots, showing off my athleisure tenfold.

It wasn’t coordinated like the real outfits we’ve seen her in before, but the cohesive colors all flowed together nicely, demonstrating the power of monochromatic outfits. Plus, it looked less polished and more improvised than the set. Most importantly, it looked just as warm and cozy as my lounge chairs, it just looked so much better.

I keep buying new sweatpants because I can’t stand that uncomfortable feeling that happens when they start taking the pills. I buy winter white, but no color is off limits — and this Amazon option comes in dozens of shades.

“I have washed it dozens of times since I bought it and [it] still holding up well,” one customer wrote. And something else I always take as a good sign? It is constantly compared to more expensive styles from stores of well-known brands.

As for the bottoms, I’d choose between these wide-leg pants — which have a front seam, a detail that’s gotten a lot of celeb attention recently — or my favorite Alo Yoga tracksuit (which Lopez herself has worn!). These are my first choice when I want a pair of joggers, and they come in 18 colors, so it’s very possible to find something with a solid cut.

As a Midwesterner turned Arizonan, I don’t have too much of a need for a puffer vest, but I can see the appeal. It’s another layer of warmth, but it reduces the overall weight of the garment. And when was it cut? There is even less chance of getting stuck in layers.

I don’t need snow boots in the southwest, so lighter combat styles would be just fine. This faux leather pair features zips, laces and buckles and is on sale for Prime members. (That’s me, yes!) Looking through the reviews, I noticed that the boots were praised by many concertgoers who wore them while dancing, standing and walking, which is a plus.
