The This is me… now: a love story star, 54, shared her vision behind her wedding dress, as well as more details about the dress, as she discussed her iconic looks over the past two decades in a new video with Vogue.
In the video, the singer flipped through a photo of herself posing in the dress, which was a version of Ralph Lauren’s classic turtleneck dress that featured a thousand sewn-on handkerchiefs to create a voluminous ruffled skirt. Her cathedral veil for the ceremony could also be seen in the photo.
“This is Ralph Lauren. This is my wedding day,” she said.

“We got married down in Savannah, and I wanted it to be traditional Latin, but sometimes Southern Belle-ish,” Lopez added of the look.
She noted that she thought the dress had “a mix of it” and that the stylists “definitely nailed” her vision for the dress. However, while the dress looked beautiful, it was also difficult to maneuver in.
“He had a long train that was so hard to walk in. He was so heavy,” Lopez recalled.

She explained that the designer made her three wedding dresses: a formal, a formal and a reception performance dress.
The actress shared details about her appearance at the reception in an interview with Vogue in August 2022, revealing that her second dress for the ceremony was a pearl chandelier backless gown. It featured silk tulle micro-pleats, pearl embellishments and Swarovski crystal detailing throughout the gown.
The third custom-made dress featured a mermaid silhouette and a keyhole neckline with a detachable hood. She said of the looks in the video, “They were all very classic, but very different and beautiful.”

The bridal look was for Lopez and Affleck, 51, at their Riceboro, Georgia, home on the Hampton Island Reservation outside Savannah, which came after a week of celebrating with their family and friends.
