Jeremiah Dayao Gray, born on August 16, 1996, is a Filipino-American basketball player currently playing for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Growing up, Gray had a diverse background, being the son of a Filipina mother and an American father, who had a long career with the U.S. Postal Service and was a former tennis player at Crenshaw High.
He has an older brother and an older sister. While baseball initially caught his interest, Gray eventually developed a passion for basketball and began playing the sport in Grade 3. During his high school years, Gray went through a significant growth spurt, shooting up from 5-foot-6 to 6-foot-3 by his junior year.
Although he spent most of his time with the JV squad, he played a crucial role in helping the Westlake Warriors win the 2014 Marmonte League title during his senior season. Despite his contributions, he did not receive any NCAA scholarship offers. However, he found an opportunity in the Philippines, as he was recruited by San Beda.
