News about Jeremy Hansen
The first non-American to travel to the moon will be Jeremy Roger Hansen of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). On April 3, 2023, NASA named Roger an Artemis II Mission Specialist. Christina Koch, a NASA astronaut who will soon make history as the first woman to travel to the moon, is the second expert on the Artemis II mission.
NASA astronauts Victor J. Glover and Gregory Reid Wiseman, who will serve as the flight engineer and mission commander, respectively, will fly on Artemis II with Roger and Koch. The second phase of NASA’s Artemis program is the first manned flight test, or Artemis II.
Four astronauts will orbit the Moon as part of Artemis II to test and stress Orion’s life support systems and demonstrate the skills necessary to live and work in deep space in a way only possible for humans. A 10-day mission is planned for Artemis II. After more than 50 years, the United States will send men to the moon with this mission.
