Wiki/Biography
Jeremy Lalrinnunga Ralte was born on Saturday, 26 October 2002 in Aizawl, Mizoram (age 19; as of 2021). His zodiac sign is Scorpio.
Jeremy began boxing training at the age of six. His father, a former boxer, trained him in boxing. When he was 7 years old, he often went to a fitness center in the village. There, he often watched the boys train and lift weights. From there, he became interested in weightlifting. In an interview, recalling those days, he said:
I used to watch the boys train at the gym near my house. They used to lift weights. This makes me excited. This gave me the encouragement I needed to try the sport. I approached the boys in the gym and asked them if they could teach me how to lift weights. I started doing this and started lifting weights perfectly. Maybe God wants me to be a powerlifter one day. “
When he was 8 years old, his father’s boxing academy was closed due to certain financial obligations. Jeremy then approached Malsawma Khiangte (his first coach) to provide him with professional training in weightlifting. Jeremy said of the incident in an interview,
I approached Marsama. He was the one who gave me professional weightlifting lessons. He often asked me to hold a piece of bamboo and asked me to lift it slowly. They are 5m long and 20mm wide. There’s no weight on them, but actually lifting a stick is more difficult than lifting a heavy object because you need to know how to balance it. It’s quite tough. I practiced day and night, lifting the bamboo pole and learning the art of balance. “
